    Y.E.S., 20W40, and Legal Issues

Yes has saved me, conservatively, 2000 dollars. New saddlebag, new clutch actuator. Edit. And also repaired my fried ground spider.

    Are these guys always stupid?

Loud pipes, huge rear tires, leather, and assless chaps with thongs actually are the most valued riding skills in those venues.

    Wanting to buy 2008 FJR1300AE

Search craigslist for cities on the east coast. If you find one, it may be difficult to arrange the purchase, as craigslist actively discourages long distance vehicle transactions due to the scam artists out there. You would probably need the help of a board member local to the seller to get...

    Tour of Nothing

Really great ride report. Man, those are some lonesome roads out there. Must have very tempting to open the throttle.

    Tour of Nothing

One cool thing about riding in Nevada. When it is time for a bathroom stop, you can pull over and walk out to the middle of the road and pee, with no one to see or object. Of course I also did that in downtown Reno once. Didn't go over too well with the gf. I love Nevada. You never know...

    Oil change

No, it is not that easy. You will need special Yamaha tool #BR549. After you remove the filler cap, this device is clamped onto your bike's frame so that you can rotate the bike upside down to drain the oil. It only can be found at an authorized dealership. I got mine on sale for $650.00, a...

road to detroit lake open again

I did that road about 3 weeks ago, or maybe more. Doing the Dam Tour. Did it get snowed on since then?

Well now, I see you've been holding out on me...

Destination Highways WA lists this road. Not a DH, but a TE (Twisted Edge).

#1 safety additions to your FJR

Seriously, the best safety equipment you can add is between your ears. Good attitude, good skills, situational awareness will go farther than any shiny blinky thing. But I like shiny blinky things too.

    Bike Setup Questions

I have a bone stock AE that seldom gets better than 40 mpg. I have a big Cal Sci window with a Laminar Lip that is usually up about 1/3, plus I weigh a lot, so I think those numbers are ok.

Yeah, and the cows also leave their poop on the *** fault. Now that could be a hazard.

    SH__26? Not starting

I seem to remember my shop removing the swingarm to get to something when they were troubleshooting my sh_26 problem.

    Bike Setup Questions

I think this is the route I would go. The original owner, judging from the cans and K&N filter, was after max performance when he had it dyno tuned. Keep in mind that I have no ******* idea what I am talking about.

    The ONE piece of advice...

Don't ride faster than your skills allow.

    Oregon

Tried before by Gov Tom McCall. Didn't work. But think of it this way. Oregon has about 96K square miles and Great Britain has approximately 80k square miles area. GB has 60 million people. Oregon has around 4 million. Count your blessings.
