Same thing happened to me on my favorite local circuit. Everything loose, held to @30mph, nerve racking the whole way. I was lucky it was only a couple of miles but it did ruin my whole ride. Next time, I'll take the initiative and turn the sucker around and just plain get out of there.

A little over full is OK but not a full quart. Aeration is bad. It can show itself as lower oil pressure or not, but you can be sure it's happening if you're a quart over. I know since you found it too full, you'll never let that happen again so you should be OK.

My local dealer has had a 2002 TL1000S on the floor for a long time. I always look at it and if it's there much longer I may buy it. Great bike, especially for track days. Thanks for the pics! :)
