    interesting...I found a pan from a 2003 on ebay and bought it. Hopefully it will arrive soon and be useable......otherwise it can become a fruit receptacle or something like that. B)

    Yes, I stripped some of threads from the oil pan plug hole by over-tightening the bolt. I told the dealer to go ahead and order a new pan from Japan..(hey that rhymes). I was also told that the pan from 2003 to the present will fit. Does anyone have an extra one in great condition they could...

    Guys...Gals....I am truly besides myself. I am beating myself up and am truly embarrased. The threaded soft metal that came from the Pan/Strainer was in the threads from the bolt.     I had an extensive conversation with a technical customer service rep over at Mamayama. She explained to me that the bags and locks had held up the bikes. I know it's been said before about past years but supposedly that was the reason for much of the hold up.

    GOOD NEWS :yahoo: I received my VIN today. The bike is here and I will take receipt next week. I can almost see the light at the end of the tunnel . And now....I'm sure I'll have loads more questions for you fanatics ....er I mean fellow FJR lovers out there.
