05 FJR here in Colorado Which came with the Metzler Z4, they dont even make anymore. Within the first month of ownership had it up to 115 mph and smooth as glass. I had to replace them also because I put on 7500 miles that first month. Then went to the Z6 seemed a little squirrelly but still...

How does one remove burnt textile from a chrome exhaust pipe? Wife got a little too close and left a nice mess on the pipe. She has a nice burnt spot in her textile pants also. Any suggestions on cleaning the pipes?

I was over in Europe last month and seen lots of FJR's over there. I just see one every once in awhile here in Colorado.

Aaron; For my 05 FJR I use Purolator, Pure One, PL14610, Micronic. Micronic has the pretty BLUE to go with the Galaxy Blue :clap: I avoid Fram and Pennzoil filters. I like Purolator quality and Mobil 1 filters. The PL14610 is for a Mazda or something but fits great on the FJR.

In general, oils whose weights are on the thin side, 10W-30, 10W-20 and 5W-30 are energy conserving and should not be used in wet-clutch types of bikes. Oil’s whose weights are 10W-40, 15W-40, 15W-50, and 20W-50 are not energy-conserving and are OK for use in all motorcycles. Because newer...
