Had a number of different helmets in my time, but just bought a Schuberth C3, now that they are DOT approved. Best fit, best noise reduction, best airflow I have had. Expensive but my head is worth it.

eeksnake, nice to meet you also. We had a great trip home, left Belle Fourche at 4:00 a.m. Willmar time and was back in Willmar by 1:30 p.m. so made good time. Congrats to you and the new FJR. You will enjoy even more as time goes by. Many options for improvements but just ride and enjoy first.

Not many in the Willmar, MN area. In fact I may be the only one as far as I know. Unfortunately when you go to a dealership around here that handles Yamaha they never have an FJR on the floor. Can't sell bikes if no one sees them. Compare that to a HD dealership.
