I had tread separation on a Conti Motion front tire at highway speed. 5500 miles on the tire. These tires ended up being not so cheap after needing a tow truck and having my trip cut short.

They gray button cover was missing when I purchased my bike used from a Yamaha dealer. They also said it was $400 to replace. I found that the rubber button cover from the back of a $2 flashlight works pretty well. I could not find that gray button cover for sale anywhere.

Hello, Has anyone installed a backrest for the rider? If so, what was used? I currently have a Laam seat which is awesome. Now looking for a backrest for myself. Thanks!

First time rotating the air filter on my 2008 AE today. Thankfully , it's a once a year job.

I found a rubber button cover off the back of a cheap flashlight that fits pretty well. Not ideal, but better than electrical tape.

The P.O. had a piece of black tape over it. I'm pretty sure I can come up with substitute. Strange that an oem part is not available.

Yes. The button works ok. Just the rubber cover is missing.

My recently purchased 2008 FJR AE is in nearly perfect condition. The only issue is the rubber push button cover for the shift selector is missing. My Yamaha dealer says they are not available. Has anyone had to replace this cover, and if so, where did you find one? Thanks!
