I just heard this on the local news here in metro Atlanta. There was a report of two deaths in Cades Cove storm a day or two back. The names were just released and one of them was Ralph Frazier owner of Frazier Harley davidson in Flowery branch Ga. He was riding a motorcycle with his girlfriend...
Fred w asked why I felt like pitching the 05 fjr.
The main reason was heat. My bike had a little more than 50k on it. Not huge miles by standards set by others here on the forum. I have to admit that my one and only child @ 5 1/2 years old has kept my wife off the back and me off the road more...
When I was contemplating replacing my 05 fjr I must admit that I was a little nervous about what the future might hold regarding the 12 fjr. Went ahead and pulled the trigger anyway back in august on a new Kawasaki C-14. Now that I see this I am a little relieved that yamaha didnt set me on my...
Nobody wants to here it but check out the Toyota red fluid. for aluminum engines, no silicates, borates etc etc blah blah blah. Good stuff though. Available, where else, at a Toyota dealer.
You really need to put a relay in. The blasters draw more amps than the stock horns and could fry the horn switch. There was someone on here that made a plug-n-play wiring harness for this exact problem. I know that murphskits.com has one.
for price comparo...I just sold my good condition 05 abs model. 50,340 miles. never down. as nice as it could be for the miles. wilbers shock, sliders, heli bars, super brace, radiator guard, fender extender. Sold for 4600 last week.
Just received my semi annual renewal from State farm. My premiums were dropped on all coverages. State farm says that lower claims experiance have allowed reduction in cost on comprehensive, collision and bodily injury coverages. Must mean we are all riding a little safer out there.
I also have...
take a look at jake wilson. set of fronts way less than 90 bucks shipped.ebc hh run 30.99 for each set of fronts. 7 dollar shipping on orders under 99 bucks free 3 day over 99 bucks. beats the amount that powersports super store ripped the doctor for.
The insurance co is going to add the repair cost if its even repairable at all and then factor in the salvage value. My guess is your getting a check and not a trip to the repair shop. Plus you should want it totalled because ask yourself if you want to ride around on a 145 hp two wheeled...
I use Toyota red long life. none of the silicates or borate that eats up seals. Made for use in aluminum engines. Available at any Toyota dealer. Toyota makes the good stuff...I always say, Honda makes acuras, Nissan makes Infinitis, and toyota Makes Lexuses.
Was trolling kawasaki web site looking at c-14 and this bike is shown as special police edition. has seperate batteries and 12 fused ports for hooking up all the gotcha stuff. reminds me of CHPS show only with ass loads more horsepower. wonder if ponch is getting one. i hear they come with a set...
thats a good reason why I would not throw down pdp cash on a bike such as the late delivery Super-10. With so many Yamaha dealers in trouble you might not get your new bike or the cash back. Since dealers are seperate businesses from mama yamaha, when they go tango-uniform your S.O.L. .
they are...
take 285 around the west side to just past roswell rd. bear rt to go north on 400. no tolls at all on that part of the 400. all tolls are inside the loop of 285. Get up to dahlonega take 60 to the split at the famous rock pile. go right at the pile down to turners corner and head north on 129...
As of right this minute tornado on the ground with wide spread damage reported in Cullman Alabama. Hope they are hunkered down at the best place to buy a Yamaha or kawasaki in the south east.
checks dude, the meteor you would not feel, but the buick, now that could hurt. A lot of old blind farts drive buicks. Thats the one I would really be worried about. The meteor....not so much. ;)
Dont know if this has been mentioned earlier in this thread but some may want to consider this....what if your dealer bites the dust like so many have recently and takes your cash along with them. I think it may be best to get your money back now and re-up when the bike is really close. You have...
mystery solved here for me. I have the removal tool offered by amsoil. however it was purchased at a K-mart in atlanta around 1980 and does not have any mfr name or part number on it. A few guys have asked about it and no one I know was ever able to find another one like it.(even at the k-mart)...
Another option is the milton s-409 straight steel tire valve. milton makes high quality tire and air pressure related items. You can buy them at northern tool. I keep extras in the box for my buds who come over and use my Coats 220 tire changer. They are in My FJR and VFR. Never failed and are...
