Already pulled the fuse as a test. It worked fine, but the ABS warning lamp came on. Actually, I have the fairing apart at the moment and was thinking of removing the ABS warning bulb, but it's a royal pain to get to.

As for reading a schematic... I can certainly do that without issue. What I am not is any sort of computer expert, and I do not know if running the bike for any length of time sans fuse, etc. would have any long term effects on the electronic control circuits of the system. Running the rig endlessly in a fault mode may not have any detrimental effects, but until I am assured of that...

from somebody with the proper knowledge, experience, and credentialed expertise with such computer control systems

I will ride it with the ABS in working order.

So, rhulcher... What are your credentials?

Dallara

ps - I'm at work now, so I can't take a look at my FJR, but if memory serves the 2006's don't have any ABS stickers or other ABS identification anywhere on the motorcycle... Probably because it's standard on all FJR's now. So, ionbeam, you don't have worry yourslf with me removing any stickers for liability reasons. :clapping:

Dallara - I got it all figured out (with some help), so I'm done with this post.

As far as credentials -- I'm taking my own risks with my own ride, and everyone else is on their own (as always) as they farkle their FJR (safety, warantee, reliability, etc.).

If you disable the ABS rear wheel speed sensor on the '06 you'll lose your speedo and odo. They've saved money by deleting the vehicle speed sensor on the rear of the crankcase.
