Hey all -

Finally dragged myself home & am slowly returning to the real world. I had a blast & it was great fun knowing that you guys were following along. I logically knew that people were watching, but the extent of your involvement didn't really hit me until I was making the push for the Outer Banks. That was great fun!!

I got pretty lucky with the weather, which was simply luck of the draw, and managed to pull off most of my planned route. I had a few small hiccups - my primary GPS failed, but dash backlight failed, I forgot my DL at a hotel on day 2 - but for the most part I was very lucky and couldn't have asked for a better ride.

Us armchair ralliers had a great time watching! Watching you push from Raleigh to Kitthawk....all the while I'm checking online myself to see where the mandatory evacuations were at. Seeing that little icon move every 10 minutes or so to a position 6 or so miles down the way...was great theater! Seeing the other riders in the clump veer left to D.C. and I was doing FJR fist pumps!

Thanks for a great show...and a helluva rally. ;)

This was a great rally and I had the time of my life out there. Best bunch of people you'll ever meet too. It was my first multi-day rally, but it won't be my last. Came in 12th, 8080 miles. :)
