Hmmm, okay. Edit works just fine on my other posts. I've been editing the crap out of them when I need to place updates or fix errors. So, dunno what that's about.

there's been discussions elsewhere. a quick edit is possible for anyone. waiting beyond some time limit and then wanting to edit will bite newbies with fewer than 100 posts to their account)
