Okee doke, with EOM finished up it's time to start thinking about this ride more seriously. We will not have Mr. Meadows, who is intimate with the area to lead us around this year, so I'm going to ask Jay to work with me & come up with some Garmin routing for this ride if there's no objections to that. If anyone has any requests of roads to ride, (in the area of Marlinton, WV) please PM me with your requests.

Hello all, I want to get on the fence. I had a great time at the Breaks, this sounds like a good trip too.
Whadda ya mean on the fence? Just do it! Of course I don't think there is anything available at the Old Clark, but check with the Greenbriar. It is just around the corner.

I am going to do a little of that myself. Then we can compare notes.

Cool, are you planning to load those routes on your superior (but dead) 665?
Yeah, just rub it in! I am hoping to have it repaired or replaced before then, so the anser is yes!
Oh, just teasing... if it were me with the expensive oblong hockeypuck, you'd be teasing me. & Garmin is pretty damn good about standing behind their stuff. You'll have it back in a jiff!

I vote for no dirt roads/trails.

Lol... will definitely keep that in mind, Scott.

I know you were just ribbibg me. I hope they can get it fixed. I might like to take advantage of the XM feature, but sure as hell will not shell out anymore $$ with it quitting like that on me!

I'm pretty sure that I've heard it said that Garmin will likely replace it if they cannot fix it.

Mrs. Squirrel is considering coming along with me on this trip. I want to make sure that this is more of a site seeing ride, not a twisty, fast paced technical ride. She does NOT do well in the twisties.

I'd say the riding is a bit of both. We will definitely be in twisties without a doubt but I guess that it can be considered more of a leisurely paced ride than would happen if we weren't looking at leaves.

Scott, Heidi is right. I will be 2-up also, but I like a little twisty action here and there. Janet tolerates it! There are just too many fun roads to ride in that area to not really enjoy a couple! The main thing to remember is that we will have a planned route for Saturday. Whomever is leading will wait at the turns so we can all stay together. We may have the numbers to split into two groups, so the groups may be small.

There is a small chance that I may be 2 up, also.

That four letter word (work) rears it's ugly head again. I have to work the weekend of the 13th.

Take pictures and post them up so I can live vicariously through the rest of you.

Awww Scott, that sucks! I bet this is going to be a fun trip. So fence sitters, do you have an ample amount of splinters in your asses, yet & you're ready to hop in on the trip?
