Good to hear from RenoJohn! Wonder if he drove or rode? Inquiring minds need to know. KindA like how did Georgie get that bra connected????
Easy. you put it on with connector in front then rotate it into position. Everybody knows this. Right?

Right?

ooops.

Well, that's the way I put mine on.
Since Iggy is otherwise occupied..

Google is your friend.

Hey, Rancho Cordova area peeps, is there going to be terrible traffic getting to the area Sunday afternoon evening? Traffic in these parts (Baltimore/DC) can be pretty brutal that time on a Sunday afternoon of a 4 day holiday weekend. Just curious if it'll be similar there. Maybe a ton of folks go to Lake Tahoe for the weekend and then back Sunday afternoon/evening for work Monday?
What I like to call the "weekend rush hour". Everyone is coming back from their weekend trips sunday afternoon from Vegas and the like. You can have miles of traffic in the middle of no where trying to get back into the suburbs. I try to be back on base before or around noonish time on Sunday to avoid this crap.

On the plus side if you have to be "stuck" in traffic California is the place to do it thanks to being able to easily split. I made it though LA afternoon rush hour in no time when going up for a bike camping event.

What the hell is he looking for? FJR's don't leak oil.. Maybe his glove? Keys? And by what handle does this fine gent by? I'm having terrible troubles determining the REAL name instead of forum handles. Oh well. Tomorrow I'll see these peeps with my own eyeballs and start issuing Candy Butt Association penalties. Should be a helluva party using these penalties at years end...

He looks like he's sliding off the bike to take a nap at the IBMotel.

The super nice lady at Walmart showed me how to put the bra on. Indeed, you fasten it over your belly, then slide it 180˚ then slip your arms through the straps. ****, I coulda been wearing a gaudy bra all these years had I known this.

You're right on the money, Miss Kitty. Highway 50 and I-80 can be pretty unpleasant places to be on Sunday afternoons, let alone the Sunday following the 4th of July weekend. There are a ton of people in Tahoe and a bunch in Reno who will all be heading back to Sacramento and the Bay area tomorrow. Looks like there are a lot of bonus opportunities along Highway 50, so it will be an interesting final couple of hours for this leg.

Collin24 I believe. I was standing way off to the side, snapping a few pics of riders. Of course, he's Canadian, and seeing an opportunity to talk, he comes over and starts talking to me. I'm like "don't talk to me, you're on the clock - get to Sacramento!"

Seemed to be in great spirits, given the massive ride he's on, and was happy to take a few minutes off the bike.

I'm all for Iggy's monster ride and cheering him on like you can't imagine. Or maybe you can. I left him a little note on his windscreen in the parking lot of checkpoint 1. All I had that would write on his windscreen was lipstick, so I went with that theme.

But I demand to know wtf you mean by "I know Kitty, weird." Is that a level of weird that only kitties achieve? Or is there a missing/added comma or other punctuation that causes this brief statement to read incorrectly? Are you calling ME weird?

All this discussion of how to put on a bra is further proof that y'all just don't get with chicks very often. Which makes me breath a sign of relief for the ladies of the world, but causes great fear for farm animals. Y'all worry me sometimes. Reno John has provided photographic evidence that my fears are valid.

But, George, man, this was great. Thank you so much for being so darn entertaining.

While folks like me put the kiddos to bed and grab 6 hours of shuteye, here's what happened with our riders:

So fun to watch, big ups to anyone who attempts/finishes this amazing challenge.

All you left coasters take good care of our hardy group of brave folks so they're fit and rested to make the journey back east.

This sure is fun to watch!

Observe safely.

And I thought it was just me and my comma fetish. Glad, Kitty, that you noticed that and provided some additional entertainment for us -to go along with the photos & video of George. It seems, to me, perfectly in keeping with the Pony Express Party that Higdon so masterfully penned.
Only a few hours until the running of the bulls & heifers in Rancho Cordova....

There's a spot track showing past town, so I'm thinking either the memorial, something else on Doobie Lane, or maybe one of the entrances to the playa? I think there's some kind of sign there, right? 3 mile entrance, etc? I can't picture what they look like, but I think they're there.

Looks like someone is taking Jungo Road! I wonder who and if he/she is aware of the road, or if the GPS told him to go that way so he did!

That ought to be interesting. I can't imagine anyone who knows it taking Jungo at this point in the Rally, but maybe it's one of the intrepid Super Tenere riders getting their groove on...

Hope it isn't someone innocently following the GPS "shortest distance" routing...
