Simple…

Ride without holding on.

Install a cruise control unit, then place both hands on the fuel tank when at speed, the bike will keep going straight. Use a little body english for those big sweepers. I've gone half way across this country and back - several times riding like this. If your hands stay off the grips the fingers tend to keep the feeling in them.

Some of these "solutions" are getting quite entertaining.

I'm waiting for the ultimate solution when somebody says "hey, mine doesn't have any buzz at all!....when it's parked in the garage!".

I for one, think this should get addressed with the Gen4's, whether it's engine mounting/isolation or re-inventing the 4 banger. For the one's who think it's fine?, keep it that way! Like if you think Well-Vodka is smoooooth, don't try Kettle-One or Gray Goose :)

DHS.....Don't know if this was already suggested cuz I didn't read every post but try some foam grips over the stock grips like "Grip Puppies" or Grip Buddies"

They are thick when you first put them on but after riding for a couple months they compress down smaller.

OR.....replace the stock hard grips with some PRO-GRIP #714's or 719's. these are nice and soft and cheap about $7.00 online AMAZON.

THEN....put the foam grips on top of those, it will help smooth out the vibes.

Replacing the stock grips on a '14 or any with the oem heated grips would mean removing the heated grips, not really a viable option.

Finally got out for a longer ride on my '14 and noticed that the left grip had a little "buzz" which I feel is due to the "play" between throttle tube and the handlebar. If the tolerance between the throttle tube and bar was less, maybe wouldn't be as noticable? Maybe needs to be lubricated?

Thanks SoCal, I did put on Grip Puppies and they help. Clearly, a lot of FJR riders notice and are somewhat bothered by the buzz above 4000 rpm, and it's just a matter of adjusting to the bike I guess. Not something I can't get used to in the long run. Going on my first really long trip on the FJR in a couple of weeks, so that will be a good test run. Also, I just have about 900 miles on the bike, and many have said the bike smoothes out with some miles under the belt. Thanks all for the responses.
