Anybody changing tires in Hooterville and discarding the old ones? I've got a tire plugging kit and would appreciate an opportunity to lose my tire-plugging virginity.
Ride back and forth past a construction site a few times...you will have fooked yourself and won't be a virgin no more.
Or if you go, surely you will need a tire before the weekend is done! ;)

I do have a tire changer. So if anyone need to mount new shoes that's not a problem. PM me for my address, and ship them to me. We can mount them Thursday or Friday evening. Or anytime its needed..

Yesterday I flew into Las Vegas to retrieve my FJR which I abandoned just after SW-FOG. Now I can have it back home (Illinois) in time for CFO and Hooterville. I too am getting stoked for Hooterville (and CFO and also the second half of my current great American Adventure).

Smitty,

Would changing fork oil be too large of a maintenance item for this event? If no, what do I need to bring besides new fork oil.

Thanks,

Mike

Shoulder surgery 2 weeks ago, and I've already been back on a bike. I'm IN and booked.

I'll be pulling in to the fancy Super 8 Bonne Terre Thursday evening. :)

I plan to wear my best sport-turring duds!

That should be easy enough. Are you just going to dump the old oil, and flush? or... are you wanting to pull them apart replace seals, bushing ect? Regardless, should be a easy job. Bring oil, and any other parts you would like to replace.

Looks like my plans for the "Hoot" have come to a screeching halt. The wife has scheduled a hip replacement the week before & I have to play nurse for a few weeks after.

You all ride safe down there.

Dang it Mark, there is only one 10th Hooterville. Can't she hobble around on that bum hip for a couple of more weeks? Just kidding, we have to take good care of these little ladies that tolerate us running around the country on our bikes. See you next time.

Wish I could make it. And I apologize for not getting back to you Kev about Moab, but that trip looks like it will be more than likely canceled for me also. Just got my notification to serve on jury duty that same week. This is really starting to bum me out.

Ok. I will bring fork oil. If I should be replacing the other stuff I have no idea. I am only on my 3 year owning this BA beast and have not done anything with the forks. She currently has about 65k on the clock. I do not have any leaks in my fork seals. I guess whatever you would recommend I change I can get that...

I think Smitty is being a nice guy offering his garage for use, but I think what you need to bring would be up to you and not Smitty. You have until Hooterville to read up on the threads for what you need.

Thanks for organizing this Smitty! If the work schedule allows I'll hopefully make it down! It will be great to see you! It's been a while!

Still got a room share available. CAV mentioned possibly sharing but have not heard anything yet. CAV, any idea?

If not, I'll have half a room available.

I am in!! With school starting and all the other stuff going on, I forgot.

Will be heading down that likely in a similar route. It is only 250 miles there. That is a short trip. I could make it Thursday after school or Friday morning. I will do either to coordinate when you all are heading down
