I just sent you a PM. They quoted me a substantially better number than MSRP.
Supply and demand... just tell them "No" and go buy from D&H and pay the shipping. So today Dave Sibley emails me to tell me MSRP. Glad they didn't wait till I drove down there. Not sure if I would have self control at that point. It was Andrew, but he did cc all the guys in the shop in one of his emails and I saw Shane included in there.Shane @ Power Yamaha by any chance?I think I found the guy down in Salem that wants to do business! Today was pretty frustrating the dealers up here are just not motivated to sell but that's ok. I have family down there would be a good excuse to go down to see them for the weekend. Didn't get any hits on the Craigslist add but changed it to SOLD just to rattle some nerves.
I'm still in a bit of shock that I found someone my first day of looking so thanks a bunch.
I stopped by one of the local dealers yesterday to show my wife the bike and she loves it. One of the guys in the shop smelled blood and was just drooling to make the kill. I didn't appreciate his comments and smartly departed before I said something I was going to regret. I suppose talking with them in the past months I was pretty excited about the bike and that led him to the wrong conclusion. Will have to keep that in mind when ever I have to deal with him again.
I'm really glad I found this forum it looks like there are quite a few guys from the area so that is supper cool.

Got a call from my shipper this morning. Said he'd been calling D&H all yesterday and today and got no answer. Had to explain to him he was picking it up from a motorcycle shop and they are closed Sunday & Monday. Guess he didn't listen to his boss. Doh! He's spending the night in Cullman, AL!Supply and demand... just tell them "No" and go buy from D&H and pay the shipping.
D&H is closed on Monday their web site is terrible but I I'M them on Facebook will know more tomorrow.Supply and demand... just tell them "No" and go buy from D&H and pay the shipping. So today Dave Sibley emails me to tell me MSRP. ^This is me too. I've never had a passenger and just switching from soft to hard is enough for the stuff I travel with. I doubt I'd ever pay the extra for an ES.All of this said, I don't think the addition of electronically adjustable suspension would have been worth it to me. I guess I could see it if you ride two up a lot and want to be able to quickly change set up. It also might be a selling point when you are ready sell the bike. For me and my style of riding, the A is perfect. Once I dial in my suspension settings, I'll likely never change them, with the exception of switching the shock to the hard setting when I have the bike loaded for a trip.
I'd love to learn more Skooter. You are right, I've never had a bike with electronic suspension adjustment. What are the advantages? When do you use it? Maybe I'll get it on my next bike.^This is me too. I've never had a passenger and just switching from soft to hard is enough for the stuff I travel with. It's easy to make a statement like that when you've never experienced it and have no idea how good it is. I guess ignorance is bliss.
Easy there, hoss. D&H are fine folks, and have led the nation in FJR sales for more than one model year. Central Alabama communicates in person or by phone. The internet is for surfing porn.PigPen posted: D&H is closed on Monday their web site is terrible but I I'M them on Facebook will know more tomorrow.
How do you figure you saved $7K? I got my 2016 ES for just under $17k OTD...Whenever it comes in.I bought a 2015 today in Sacramento for about 7000 less than a 2016. I feel I made the right choice and got an ES to boot less than 15750 OTD
I would say that coming off an '07 with a full custom Traxxion Dynamics suspension and going to the ES, there is a definite difference. I think the on-the-fly adjustability for minor settings and a quick stop-n-go for the major settings is a game-changer. With my custom suspension, the tendency was to set it and kind of forget it...as a result, I'd end up with a pretty firm ride everywhere. On the ES, it's so much easier to experiment and see what different settings can get you...I can get a couch on the slab and a firmed up ride on the country roads...at the push of a button essentially. How long the ES components will last is the last big question, but I'm not going back to a normal suspension.^This is me too. When I said their website is terrible I meant there is something wrong with it because it doesn't load. I should have been more specific to prevent being miss understood.Easy there, hoss. You weren't misunderstood, I was being a semi-asshat.PigPen posted: When I said their website is terrible I meant there is something wrong with it because it doesn't load. I should have been more specific to prevent being miss understood.
