Where in he world is Joe's bike? Any hints from the dealer yet? At this rate El Toro's VIN # is going to be up in the 10,000s (when they sell 2,000/year)

I may be able to see him take delivery at EOM this year. If he is able to stand...
Joe's bout fit to be tied I suspect. Holy Crap...it better get here before August!
Just called my dealer at lunch today...no news yet (still saying April). And the weather has been perfect for riding...the anticipation is killing me. I keep buying stuff for the new bike, since I can't ride...wifey's gonna ****.
Joe, I've already explained this...the boat with your bike sank off the coast of Urfookedistan. They had to send another boat, so there you go. JSNS.

Hopefully, it'll show up soon!

I'm not to worried...I'd just like to go riding. When I ordered the bike, I was told March/April. As long as I have it by the 29th of April, all will be good.

I don't have much choice...been staying busy working out, trying to loose some weight, which sucks...but keeps me focused on a goal. The bike will come in, and I'll be healthier too

Joe, ship all your farkles to Owosso to keep mama happy.......... I predict the bike will be here soon. Talked to two local dealers here (not that it applies to you), Yamaha told one his are "in transit" and the other told me two weeks ago they were getting theirs in two weeks and will call me....... haven't called yet.

PigPen, time to change this ya lucky dog. "Other or considering FJR"
Word gets around faster than I can figure out all the features on this forum. I haven't even read the manual yet I just gassed her up and was gone.

I'll put the SR357 rack and the V47 on, and bring the rest of the stuff with me. See you there Ray.

Unsubstantiated from Facebook FJR site:
2016 ES. Passed. CARB yesterday. Maybe start seeing them thi weekend maybe monday
Meaning the 2016 FJR is possibly 50 state approved? That would be great news for those of us held captive by CARB.
Or it means that the CAL emission FJR finally made it past CARB. To date, there have always been 49 state + CAL bikes. Stadium Yamaha parts fiche still lists CA bikes as a separate model.

I have noticed some dealers [Ride & Adventure] both have 2016 FJR's while some dealers [skagit and Cycle Barn] don't have 2016 FJR's yet. No big significance just thought it was strange.
Yes, I placed a deposit on a 2016 the day the prices were announced and still have no word as to when. Dealer has 3 on order and not one has arrived.

Not at all strange. Very typical of yearly allocations and particularly when an updated platform is released. We're not even through the specific month that they first started being available.

As Yamaha said they'd start to be available in March...we've seen multiple people receive them. We'll see more and more people get them as the month finishes.... and the next several months progress...and then we'll start telling stories about surplus bikes on floors later on.

It's been pretty much this way since the first Gen 2 bikes started coming out back in 2006.

Saw a 2016 Saturday at Mountain Motorsports Roswell (GA) when I dropped off my bike for the 24,000 mile checkup. The color is ... beautiful.

Saw a 2016 "AE" (USA-speak: "ES") in matte white. This would not be my choice of colour, to me it looked dirty even though it was showroom clean. Might look better in sunshine.

This is a demonstrater, received last week, and, according to the sales-person, was taken out for nearly two hours by an owner of the equivalent 2015 bike. According to the sales-person, the man said he'd have bought it for the gear-box alone, except he didn't like the colour. Had it been blue, he'd have placed the order there and then.

There is no way I could try it, my clutch hand would have given up before I reached that sixth gear :( .

Perhaps in a couple years if they offer another red I will consider the later Gen bike. By then it should be known if the 6sp gear box is sound. Generally I do not buy first edition vehicles for the obvious reasons. It would be nice if they added blind spot monitoring like on my current cars.
