Yeah, I'll find someone. A room share is actually how I met Skip in Johnson City. He doesn't snore and drinks pretty good beer. Haha...

AJ, if you cannot room with Skip I think that we have room for you. If Big John can talk to management and ensure that we Stanley's get a King Bed in the Master Bedroom then Son Seth and I can share that, he is a big boy (6'-1" and 220) but we can hack it for three nights. Big John will also need to ensure with the hotel that the Guest Room has twin beds, that would be one for you and one for Fred. Unless you two both spoon, like you did with SkooterG in Wyoming!

Condominium

Sleeps up to 6

2 Bedrooms upstairs

King in Master Bedroom

Pair of Twins or Queen in Guest Room

Living Room w/ Fireplace

Full Kitchen

Dining Area

Sofa Sleeper in Living Room

Room rates are based on 1-4 people

Additional charges may apply.

Big John, I'll get started on the Attendance List ASAP. With the great interest in this Rally, I can foresee enough beds for everybody as problematic.

I know you are from Yosemite, but there has been some recent bear activity as illuminated in a quick search above. Not sure the link will work as I am posting it from my phone, but there was a bunch of articles in the summer of 2015 about both kinds of bears. I will be blatantly honest, I am scared shitless of bears. It's prob just me, but I have a double dose of healthy fear. Prob is totally unfounded as a plains resident where our biggest predator is a coyote, but that's my fear talking.

Yosemiterich:

Any suggestions for outdoor camping in the area i prefer to be outdoors bivvi sack and bag is all I need
There is this place that is just up the road, has hot showers and restrooms to get the road grime off. https://www.perrysrv.us/

My plans are in flux right now, might be letting go of my single room reservation and trailering my bike up in the toyhauler and staying here.

Thanks for the tip on the RV park---I too am in limbo, missed out on the single rooms and then the wife got interested so we thought of trailering the bike in the toy hauler also then moving out to the forest service campsites once the rally is over.

Shared route

From Chateau Rouge to Perry's RV Park and Campground, US Route 212, Red Lodge, MT via US-212 W.

3 min (1.7 mi)

1. Head southwest on US-212 W/Broadway Ave S toward W Fork Rd

2. Arrive at location: Perry's RV Park and Campground, US Route 212, Red Lodge, MT

For the best route in current traffic visit https://goo.gl/maps/XhMuViH6tbC2

The toy hauler will be coming in to play after discussing some things last night with the boss, this will allow me to keep her out longer. I can't afford to stay in hotels for a week on the bike, but camping in our trailer for a week is doable, so hopefully this Rendezvous will now be the middle of a longer trip. If it was up to me, we would just tent it and ride everywhere. But I know better.

I gave HotRodZilla my studio room reservation. Maybe his better half will grace us with her presence again like SWFOG.

Suffering from a bout of insomnia, so I started poking around looking for the best overnight stop en route from Salt Lake City.

I pulled out my Butler map, and it looks like one possible plan of attack is to spend the night of Wed., June 22 in Victor, ID and then get up early on Thurs., June 23rd and ride Hwy 22's Teton Pass (rated G-1) into Jackson, then take one of the scenic routes up through Grand Teton NP and into Yellowstone via the south entrance.

Once inside Yellowstone NP (G-2), I'll probably take the Grand Loop Rd. northeast (to avoid the crowds going west to Old Faithful) and ride along the shore of Yellowstone Lake. When I get to Fishing Bridge, I'll have to decide whether to continue going north to Canyon Junction and on over the Dunraven Pass (another G-1) and then Hwy 212's Beartooth Pass on my way to Red Lodge, OR head east at Fishing Bridge and ride to Cody (G-2 and G-3 roads all the way), then on in to Red Lodge. It'll kinda depend on what the ride plans for the next few days out of Red Lodge look like...

But, back to my original point: maybe Victor, ID is a good spot to spend June 22. Prices closer to Jackson get pretty insane for overnight accommodations, but there is a Moose Creek Ranch just outside of Victor that has a ranch house that sleeps 6-12 people. If there are any people interested in going in on reserving this ranch house, we might be able to get the costs down to as little as $60-80ish per person, which is CHEAP compared to other options.

If this is at all interesting to any others, check out the website: moosecreekranch.com and let me know.

OK... I'm tired now. :)

lidja, When I rode to the Spearfish meet up last year, I swung further north for my first stop, and stayed at a campground in Island Park, Idaho. And then went into the park via West Yellowstone. Just another thought. Stayed here : https://www.sawtellemountainresort.com/ They have cabin rentals as well as tent sites.
