Probably gonna have to wait some more... just got back from a 3-day ride to Bridgeport and leaving tomorrow for VA... good things come to those who wait. ;)

Great ride report and photos Tyler. Nikki and I truly enjoyed the ride over Beartooth Pass with you, thanks again for letting us be part of that day.

That moment, when you see a photograph that someone else took.... and your breath catches in your chest.... and you just want to.... go....

Thank you.

so is anybody else getting mildly depressed waiting on Tyler to finish her ride reports?

Waiting for more beautiful pictures that capture the essence of the area?

Waiting for more words that describe the surroundings and set the scene to make it feel like you are right there with her?

Waiting for the glorious treasure that is Tyler's ride reports?

I know I am.......

Just a comment while we're waiting. The first time I saw Yellowstone was just after I retired, maybe 2006. Wasn't even on an FJR. When I got there it was about a week before Memorial Day, late May, and it was just so beautiful--warm and sunny, I even got sunburned all over my face. I was so overpacked (I thought) I sent home a lot of stuff I wasn't using from a UPS store in West Yellowstone. Stuff like winter gloves and warm layers.

What an idiot. But I didn't realize that for a couple more days. But what a great time to see the park. I looked at all those empty benches around Old Faithful and wondered why the heck they had so many of them. When it erupted for us the first time, I seriously think there were no more than 6 or 8 of us looking. I could say the same for the roads. Yellowstone is a heck of a fun place to ride a motorcycle when there's no traffic. And I didn't run across any of those pesky park police types at ALL. Sure changes right after that next weekend though. Weather and traffic both.

We ventured further into the park following the signs for Old Faithful... we lucked out on timing as it erupts about every 90 minutes and we arrived about 15 minutes before the next event started... we managed to find a space to tuck the bikes into and headed for the observation point... we were in good company as we awaited the big event...
