DECAL REMOVAL:
The single most save way to remove a plastic decal from a plastic surface is by the application of low heat (hair dryer). Any residue remaining is usually easy to removed by using what is left of the decal. Just dab the pressure sensitive side to & off quickly on the residue. Most times a rapid 4 or more dabs is required. This residue removal hint also works with paper backed pressure sensitive labels.
Most 'crinkle-finish' plastic like the FJR saddle bags is ABS, which has a very low tolerance of most chemical solvents. About the only one that will not harm ABS is household alcohol, but it's usefullness on decal removal is questionable.
