DECAL REMOVAL:

The single most save way to remove a plastic decal from a plastic surface is by the application of low heat (hair dryer). Any residue remaining is usually easy to removed by using what is left of the decal. Just dab the pressure sensitive side to & off quickly on the residue. Most times a rapid 4 or more dabs is required. This residue removal hint also works with paper backed pressure sensitive labels.

Most 'crinkle-finish' plastic like the FJR saddle bags is ABS, which has a very low tolerance of most chemical solvents. About the only one that will not harm ABS is household alcohol, but it's usefullness on decal removal is questionable.

I bought Alex's decals last year and they look great on the bike, both day and night. Alex delivers top rate service too. My decals got lost in shipment and he shipped me another set at no cost with the only proviso being that if the first set should eventually show up, I would send them back to him. A month later the first set mysteriously appeared and of course I sent them back. It kind of gives you a nice feeling in this day and age that you can still do business based on trust.

Thanks to the great reviews I just ordered the #5 back reflectors and the side reflectors for my 07 Black Cherry. Do you think this is overkill or you can never be too safe?

Can somebody please help this noob out with a price please! I must've missed it somewhere. Please!

I know it might look obnoxious, but does anyone have pics of the red decals on a silver bike, ( or not silver, mainly the red decals both in day and night reflective)? If easier, pics can be emailed to me at

I'm thinking the red will just make me look a LOT more obvious from the back when I get caught on the turnpike in our common Florida afternoon thundershowers.

thanks!

Alex,

See my thread here: (Clicky)

Had bubbles pop up hours after install despite not having bubbles immediately after install (and using extreme caution -- I've done plenty of decal installs before). Any thoughts would be most appreciated.

Talk with Turbo Dave. He has a silver bike with red stripes.

Thanks Alex, actually, I went ahead and ordered them soon after I posted the question. I got the red, but left the outer thin piece black. Thanks for doing that for me.

I put them on this weekend, along with my hyperlights and I really like the setup. I need to take a couple pics and post them.

Thanks

Here's my bike with the red decals. (no lights, camera flash)

Thanks Alex!!

Decals arrived yesterday, installed dry in just a few minutes. Look fantastic! Thanks Again for your fast service!

Russ

Definitely a great product. Just make sure you apply enough pressure when installed to keep the bubbles out!

I should have posted earlier.

I have a set of #3 installed on my 08.

Went on very easy, installed dry with no problems.

They look great, thanks Alex.

Excellent service, received them a few days after the order was placed and was advised of the shipping.

Thank you!
