rockwells

I just received this evening an e-mail from a friend of Rockwell's (George), that he crashed yesterday near Lake Berryessa. The e-mail was very short, and said he thought that George rode home.

So I called George's wife and introduced myself, and asked how he's doing. She said he was in the hospital with 7 broken ribs and a collapsed lung, but that they're hoping he'll come home tomorrow. She said she'd tell him I called.

This is more terrible news. I've only met George once, a few weeks ago, when we rode together around Lake Berryessa, but we hit it off and had a great time just the two of us. I believe this is the ride on which he got injured.

I will try to keep updated, unless there's anyone out there who knows him better. He lives in Vacaville.

Let's all continue to be careful out there.

Hans

Jeez, guys! Just because you all want Jill and I to NOT feel soooo bad about our situations......dayang!

Heal well, Rockwalls, I know with broken ribs it won't be soon. Follow the Doc's orders, use the breathing device they will send home with you.....and don't laugh or cough!

Best wishes for a speedy and full recovery.

Damn but it seems like collapsed lungs and motorcycle wrecks go hand in hand.

Who the hell gave him permission to crash??? I thought we'd been pretty clear on the procedure for crashing, obtaining permission, etc. after Mike's unauthorized get-off.

Get well as soon as possible. Just glad it wasn't worse.

Sorry to hear of this Rockwells - get better soon and let us know if you need any help. Some of us are suckers for people in pain and it really isn't much of our time to help if you need some.

Sorry to hear of yet another crash. Keep us posted as you learn more.

Breakfast Riders, hmmm. That sounds like a pretty good idea.

Why people trying to prove that when you crash it hurts and bike gets mangled??? I thought it was well documented and proven fact?! Wait, they might be trying to get on the "Believe it or Not show". That is it. Episode #1534 Do you think if the rider approaches this corner at ### mph he would be able to make it to the other side. Stay tuned folks ;)

Get well George. And stop crashing you are not that good looking to get on the damn show any way.

Sorry to hear this. TWN is right.....we are hearing this way TOO much.

The fall riding season is around the corner so start now getting mentally prepared for your rides and stop this crashing crap.

George, Get Well Soon!!!!!!

I know you needed time off work but this is a little harsh dude. I know your damn tough and this is just a minor scratch, so see you riding soon.

Seems those broken ribs have a way of letting the air out.

This is getting old! Stop crashing, dammit! Heal up quick.
GUNNY!

It appears we are going to have to force the "paper-work" now. All submissions must be on proper forms, in triplicate, etc.

Ribs and a lung, Scab what are you teaching these people?
I realize my celebrity status. (It is a heavy burden) But, seriously, you people need to quit "Trying to be like Scab." While on most days, it is good to be me, that little chapter of life sucked major butt-cheese.

Get well soon, my fellow rider.

Hm.....a new t-shirt concept.

"BE LIKE SCAB".

That's going to be my next t-shirt order.

edit:....oh, and get better sooner, dude.

Best wishes to George and family. Man, what a Stud!!! 7 broken ribs and a collapsed lung and he rode home!!!!!!! Wow. :assassin:

I'm beginning to think the only safe place to ride is on the freeways, lane "sharing". :dribble:

Heal quickly George.

C'mon people, let's see less threads like this and keep it safe out there.
