Heading back to Kamloops today. 7am it looked promising, 7:30 pissing down :angry2:

Oh well, can't be any worse than yesterday. Got caught on the Salmo-Creston summit in a HAIL storm with nowhere to hide.

Strangely, the bike seems to enjoy rain - must be the dense air??

For some reason I can't upload to PhotoBucket from my Netbook? I'll share my pics tonight.

I got home to Billings last evening. The ride home was great but got a little hot and windy south of Great Falls. I really enjoyed NAFO and the great people I met.

Said goodbye to Uberkuls (Brad & Cristy)and the Highlanders (Dave & Diane) at Susanville, CA ...... Goodbye to FjRobs (Rob & Terrie) at Grass Valley, CA ... and made it home ourselves today after covering 2,345 miles. GREAT, great meet, and fantastic peeps

Tyler, I went into Republic to get something to eat and saw your beautiful machine parked in the middle of town. I parked my bike and discovered there wasn't a restaurant in sight, only taverns. So I remounted and finally found a hamburger joint in Wilbur.

Jer, sorry we missed you. There was a little diner across the street from where we parked that we had lunch at. The FJRay's wandered in just as we were finishing up.

I didn't spot it and since I had decided to ride the 550 miles home, took off for a place I could see. I spotted you leaving customs as I arrived and caught up and followed you until I stopped for Petro. The red beauty looked good going down the road.

Mitchy and I are in Sioux Narrows Ontario camping for the night (maybe two). We have it all...internet,cellular,electricity,running water and free firewood. Tomahawk Camp and RV park. 2 thumbs up!!

Another 3 or so days before we make it home.

I rolled into the driveway at 18:15 hrs tonight, rode 7 of 8 days for 2,254 miles for an average of 322 miles a day, so, no beer penalty for my CBA status. Had a BLAST!! got to meet some Forum legends for the first time, got to ride with some great friends, and watched one of them, Brad, perform a mounting on the Big Black Rooster!

Met some CRAZYASSED Cannucks :yahoo: (Gary and Chris) who take the posted speed limits as an advisory only.

No contributions to local community coffers, sorry to hear Uberkul got nailed in Oregon, its Washington that has the sneaky unmarked patrol cars..Ride report to follow.

So Uber and I come up on this blue Ford Super Duty 350 one ton, has half a lumber rack, gun rack and what appears to be a bull whip in the back window. He's doing 65 in a 55, then we follow, ,...............then the hidden blue lights in the lumber rack light up, ............we'll be sending a revenue check to Oregon this week also !

Spud and Greb made it home yesterday. 690 miles for me, 880 for him. Got an early start, then sat for 35 minutes in the rain waiting for the border crossing to open. Went from the downpour of BC / Northern WA / Northern ID to 95+ heat and high winds in Montana. Was quite an adventure.

Lucy, I'm home!

After Castelgar I headed for Creston and the rain had stopped by then. Spent the night in Shelby MT via Yack. Continued across MT on hwy 2 into ND and got to experience the oil boom in NW ND, lots of trucks and traffic, avoid. That night camped out at Theodore Roosevelt Nat park. Got on I-94 the next morning and couldn't take it headed south on the Enchanted Hwy hooked up to US-12 and followed that home. Got in about 8 PM last night.

Barb my cats like your's don't like rallies either, they were severely lap deficient

USBP certainly more interested in going through my stuff than Canada's folks. Maybe they just liked watching me sit in the rain while waiting.

Did some of Yellowstone and Mt. Rushmore on the way home. Had a close encounter with a bull buffalo-- they are big when they are 6 feet away and demanding 2/3s of the road! I gave it to him.

106 degrees in Rapid City, and I finally caught an actual tailwind 10 miles from my house.

Another one to mark off my bucket list.
