OK, today is the day I need an absolute who is going and who is a definite maybe. I would like a head count so we dont leave anyone at a GAS STATION like before.
I'm Going for sure. 95% going alone with no pillion.

Damn, I just peaked at my email and Neil San Diego asked if MsNASCAR and I were joining in on the "Big Bear Ride?"

We have verizon scheduled to be out this Saturday to install FIOS tv to replace our screwd up Direct TV.

Let's see if I can reschedule it until Sept 6th, unless you all have something planned for then? If it can be done at this late of notice, count us in. We must share our Golden, CO (NAFO) ride details with all.

On the way out of N. Rim Grand Cyn, we had to stop for this rare sighting of a herd of buffalos.

Jacquie & Karen with Ric n Sac on the rigth side contemplating, how close can I get?

Hope that works out, we'd like to see you folks again and hear about your NAFO ride.

the holy church of fjr,can i get an amen.

I'm in.
2 up.

Dan, I ride slower with Janet on the back, if that helps.
Here's one more '08 FJR "2 up" for this ride. I was wondering, since there will be so many riders, if the group will be broken-up into two smaller groups. . . . Spirited (fast) & Cruising. My wife & I are usually the slowest in most group rides.

If this ride was intentionally thought up to be a spirited ride, we'll understand, but pass. Otherwise, looking forward to meeting everyone in Redlands about 0830 on Saturday.

We usually split up into a few groups. It looks like we will have a few 2ups on this ride and I am still trying to convince my wife to go with me. She rides with me now but only when it is us she has never done the group ride before. I got us both the scala Q2's so we can chat and listen to music I'm hoping this will help :D

Come on down you wont be disapointed.

Hey Guys,

I am in. I ride with Mr. and Mrs. GlossBlk08.

Disclaimer: I ride a bright Yellow 2000 Honda VFR800fi.

One day I will have a FJR, but for now that is my ride. I know many forum members, mostly the Long Distance riders.

See you all at Starbucks in Redlands...

I would like to be there but.... I lost my 98 year old grandfather. He lived a full life, rode motorcycles into his 60's, played tennis until his late 80's, played golf into his early 90's and drove until the day he died. A great man of God and he was in excellent shape for 98. He was taken quickly. So that's good.
The bummer part is, it looks like the family is doing a memorial service for him on August 23. I was hoping I could still do the Big Bear ride and make the service, but I think that would really be pushing it. My grandfather was a biker and he would understand, the rest of my family would not.

So I'm going to have to back out of this one.

When and where's the next ride? ;)

Mr sissy pants Bluesman backed out on us. I will let him fill everyone in on as to why.
However the ride goes on. Now we only have the limeys to pick on. This should be fun.
Thank you Mr. Girlie-man... I shall let the ride continue in my absence. I leave first in command Tonyrob. His job is to sack slappy, and ditch him any chance he gets. A CAUTION NOTE: Beware of the red coats... :p

This ride should be real fun. Enjoy yourselves and ride safe!!!!
Sorry for your loss, I am sure your grandfather is scraping the pegs wherever he is..... Hope to see you on the next ride.

As jordy said, he and I are a definite in! See all you Yanks at Starquids in Redlands.

Hey guys -

if I can get the new tires on the feej tonite, I will see you in the mornin for a nice leisurely break-in ride.

Doug5551, Having a yellow bike is bad enough but you have the chutzpah to ride a Honda amongs a herd of Yamaha's. Let me guess you and Bluesman share underwear to.

Ill mark you and Gregfjr on the list. Greg, please post here tonight if you do or dont get those tires mounted. This is a long way to ride just to get left behind.

For those wondering about the pace of the ride dont worry. For those that want to ride fast we can talk about waypoints along the way just to be sure everyone makes is safely to the final destination. For those riding two up or wish to enjoy the ride the pace will only go as fast as the slowest person is confortable going. The last few rides have been enjoyable and I have all intentions of making this on par with those. We will finalize everything saturday morning at the Redlands Starbucks. I look forward to seeing everyone there.
