Bump, Overcast with rain, then a chance of rain in the afternoon. High of 50F. Winds from the SSW at 10 to 15 mph shifting to the West in the afternoon. Chance of rain 70%.

Of course it was 55 and clear Friday.

Dave, O'Keeffe and Chuy are at the Starbuck's around the corner from the Museum. Our FJR's are parked out front, come on in and we'll buy you a cup of joe!

Some shots from today's event. Thanks, fontanaman, for organizing.

Important stuff first: the food **** pix from bfast. Southern Kitchen serves dinner items all day long, so why not Fried Chicken for bfast?

Or Chicken Fried Steak or Biscuits and Gravy, if that is your thing.

Exhibit wasn't huge, but the bikes and the stories were very well chosen. A few very exceptional bikes, and some unrestored barn finds that were thankfully left in original condition.

My dad owned a restored 1949 Police Harley like this one below; wished I still had it.

This Pope was supposedly owned by Steve McQueen. Will have to confirm that one, but it was a nice example.

Men of certain age owned this toy.

Nice seeing everyone, small display but worth the visit as we go to walk the rest of the Museum also.

Kind of glad I drove down both on the way down and home the rain was nasty north of Lynnwood on up to home!

I believe all had a great time. A restaurant with very good food. While the motorcycle exhibit was modest the quality of bikes on display was high, mostly pre 1950's iron. Highly recommended.

Awesome day except for the last 20 miles on the way home, rain/sleet/hail stuff.

Thanks for putting this together Fontanaman.

Auburn, not sure if it was one of the earliest but it was 1911. They were starting a race to Vancouver, 35 started and 5 finished. Very cool!

In this photo the nearby poster board describes how Merchant Parcel Delivery used motorcycles were used to delivery documents in Seattle. You also learn Merchant Parcel Delivery was the beginnings of United Parcel Service.
