Lets have a Pac NW FJR social event on Saturday Feb 16. The idea is to meet for breakfast at 9:00am then attend the Let's Ride exhibit at the Washington State Museum of History in Tacoma.

Breakfast ideas include Southern Kitchen and Hob Nob. Open to other ideas as well.

I would like to get a head count before choosing a place to assure they can accommodate us.

This will be a pay your own tab affair so nobody gets stuck with a bill.

Post back if you are in or PM me.

Hey Jim,

Great idea, yet wifey and I are with PSS attending a first aid class.....

Pulled this from the other post.

TACOMASaturday Feb 16 –Opening Saturday, January 26 at the Washington State History Museum, Let’s Ride! Motorcycling the Northwest takes visitors on a journey of discovery to explore the past century of motorcycling, its culture and its communities. Northwesterners have been enthralled with the adventure of riding since the early 1900s, both for business and for pleasure, and the activity has played an important part in shaping our young region’s history. With nearly two dozen rare machines on display, Let’s Ride! Motorcycling the Northwest combines the artistry and science of motorcycles with the history of motorcycling.

Visitors will learn about the experience of motorcycling through interactive exhibits, videos, and impressive displays of antique machines from 1906 up to machines from the 21st century. Exhibit highlights include a motorcycle owned by Steve McQueen, an early United Parcel Service delivery bike, the discovery of Washington’s first motorcycle, the iconic Seattle Mariner machine, and a look at Moses Lake’s own Evel Knievel.

In addition to the exhibit, the museum will host a series of special events, such as seminars for beginning and advanced cyclists, two motorcycle club rallies (on April 13 and May 11 to raise money for school transportation), First Friday gallery talks and viewings of classic motorcycled-themed films. The exhibit is open Wednesday – Sunday, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m., with extended hours and free admission every third Thursday, 2 – 8 p.m. General admission is: $9.50 for adults; $7 for seniors; $7 students and military with valid ID; children, age 5 and below, and members are always free. To learn more about special events or the exhibits, visit https://www.washingtonhistory.org/wshm/featured-exhibits.aspx.

Looks like you'll need to leave around 7:30 to get there George. ;)

I'm on the fence. I need to hit work on Sunday for a while, so I may opt to skip this and chill. That said, a bit of sunlight might see me wanting to ride the Barge again! About all I can say is if I'm there, I'll be there...

...and I realize this does not, in any way, make or break anyone's day. :)

The meeting place is Southern Comfort Kitchen at 9:00am on Saturday Feb 16th.
Southern Comfort Kitchen is at 1716 6th Avenue, Tacoma, WA 98405.

Hope everyone can make it.

As long as it's not pouring, I'm in.

If anyone wants to join me, I'll be taking the scenic route from West Seattle down the coast to Brown's Point and around the waterfront to Tacoma. I'll leave at 8am from Fauntleroy. Lots more interesting than I-5.

PM me for specifics.
