FWIW, I notified "the powers that be" that I'm unavailable for work 7/31, so it's about 99.44% sure that I am in like Flynn.

Looking forward to meeting you hoolies. :)

(ps: bring your rain gear)

Where: Circle K Gas Station on the NE Corner of US 98 and Rockridge Rd
10704 US Highway 98 N, Lakeland, FL‎

When: Yet to be determined. I have to consult with Everett cuz he'll be coming quite a ways north to meet me. It takes me about 1 hour to get to the meet spot. If I had to guess I'd say we could meet at 9am. Kick stands up by 9:15am.

I don't mind heading further north to the Yalaha Bakery.

The route is basically....

Rockridge Rd thru the Green Swamp

Hwy 33 North to CR 561

CR 561 to LakeShore Dr

LakeShore Dr over to 50

Hwy 50 East to Old Hwy 50 via Lake Blvd

Old Hwy 50 turns into 455 heading North

455 to Buckhill Rd North

Buckhill Rd over to 19 / 48 via Revels Rd

Hwy 48 to Yalaha Bakery

From there we need to work our way down Hwy 27 to Bridges Rd. Unless somebody knows of some good back roads to get down that way we'll just shoot over 48 to 27 and head south the Bridges Rd

We'll take Bridges west and head through Center Hill and Webster and end up in around Spring Hill

So take a look at the route and get an idea of where you would like to peel off if needed.
I'm in for the 31st. I might try to head over and meet some of you at the Circle K on 98. 9am sounds good to me, but see what works for Everett.

Hm. Looks like I would be going to the south end of the round trip that is planned to meet up. For me 2.5 hours and 125 mi to meet up, then I would be repeating the south direction on the route and going back north on near the same leg after the trip to return.

Little big for me this time. I am going to drop out on this one and see if I can get some activity brewing in NE Florida.

Have fun.

I need to work on building up my miles in prep for the Knoxville trip. I'm thinking of a ride or two headed north towards Jax. I'll give you a shout if I can get that going.

I can't say I blame you. We can put together another ride in the future with a meeting place closer to you. It won't be convenient for Everett or Ryan but maybe myself, Howie and DaveB can meet up with you someplace north of Orlando.

Dave

We've run up to Ocala National Forest before That's long haul and I don't know alot of good roads up there. I'd be interested in heading up there in August maybe if somebody knows all the good roads.

DaveB and fljab clued me in to this ride. It sounded good until I heard Howie is going to be there, but I will try to make it despite that. :D

In '96, we almost bought 5 acres on the side of Sugarloaf "Mountain", so yes it does exist. Great view of Lake Apopka from there. We bought some land about 10 miles west from there as sort of a future retirement homesite so I know the area fairly well - some very decent roads to ride.

I'm planning to meet you guys first thing in the morning and then ride with you for a while. At some point, I will probably split off from the group and go check on our property and then head back to Orlando (maybe after Yalaha).

You might be passing by here too soon to stop for lunch but here's another suggestion - if you guys want more of a bar & grill type place to eat, you might consider Lake Harris Hide-a-way off of HWY19 just north of Mission Inn a few miles. If not this ride, maybe some other time.

Looking forward to seeing/meeting all of you.

Aw Howie - you know we all luv ya!

Come to think of it - I think I still owe you a breakfast.
Just don't get me lost in the "wilds" of Lake County.

The Hills Have Eyes!
Yo Floridians, just out of curiosity and because inquiring minds want to know: When you guys ride with RadioHowie, do all of you wear paper bags over your helmets with eye holes cut in the front of them? Or, do you just have RadioHowie wear a paper bag over his helmet; but, with the eye holes facing backwards? Just one of life's little mysteries that deserves a valid answer! Thank You!!!

So now that Arizona and Louisiana have chimed in, I wonder how long before the Michigan Masturbator is gonna add his two cents?
