Logo time, now be nice !.

I tried to incorporate all the elements

What's the red thing the logo is incorporated in? I'm not getting it, but that's not unusual.

I witnessed Panman's stunning defeat.

Well, actually not all of it, because I had to use the bathroom to make more room to get mine down.

OK, well most of mine down.

PS: DABRIT, good job on the logo even if there is no pie in it.

Hotrod,

There's nothing in the shape, it started as an abstract motorcycle shape and just morphed into somewhere to put the club name.

I think it is a brilliant rendition of a toilet bowl handle.... very fitting! I like this. Perhaps with the lines of the motorcycle a bit bolder to pop out a little more? But I love this.

...In order to get back into grace, on must eat a Zoo at Farrells.
Now go and sin no more!
Holy timewarp Batman! Farrells?? Any of those critters still around?

My brother's friends could go through several troughs in one sitting. Not sure that's worthy of a passing mention though, after reading through these various exploits! :D

6'2" 265 right now. I love this thread.
El Jefe, El Grande I love it when a plan comes together.

El Presidente

Juanny80s

Don as el Presidente I am officially changing your title to El Jefe (the Chief). Everyone knows the Chief runs the boat. And Chief translates better into spanish since our titles have to be spanish to go along with our club.

Also we need to give everyone a member number. Since El Grande has added it to his signature we should all do that and put our member numbers in there. I want number 0.
El Presidente, I assume el jeffe will be numero uno. May I be member numero dos?

Airboss has read the world famous cookbook Stretching Your Food Budget By Utilizing Roadkill it seems.

Note the close similarity to the mummified cat seen outside his home a few nights back.

Pretty amazing what you can do with a few breadcrumbs and a deep fryer. From one connoisseur of finely prepared roadkill to another...salut!

El jefe, el presidente and los unwashed  : I ran 'Viva Comer' through a Spanish translation dictionary. It translated as "eating alive"

My Spanish is poor. The dictionary suggests a translation for Eat to ride / ride to eat as: "Ride a comer / comer a montar"

Would this be more what is wanted?

I am really partial to Eat to Ride, Ride to Eat. I don't care for the spanish in the slogan for some reason.
I sat with it. I thought about it. I pondered it. I ate some fritos and salsa and decided. The English version is more inclusive of our Norte Americano and Canadian members. It points to a more inclusive, multi-gastromic and multilingual group of follks, and it is easier to pronounce for me. I agree el presidente. Hope el jefe and others chime in.

El Grande you are numero Dos.

I like the logo El Jefe, El Grande can we get a vote? What say you?
Unique, colorful, emblematic and meaningful to those in the know.

:specool:

EDIT: I amend my vote. Given my research on translation of the motto and my pondering (see posts below), I suggest Eat to ride / Ride to eat be substituted.

I, even I, am He who blots our your transgressions for My own sake; and I will not remember your sins. Put me in remembrance; let us contend together; state your case, that you may be acquitted. Isaiah 43:25-26 Panman, sin no more!

Niehart: This must be my own personal Rohrsach Test, but I thought background was the wood platter they serve pies on!!!

El Presidente y El Grande: I personally lean towards Viva Comer, instead of Eat to Ride. And if we do cater to our Canadian friends and I am not saying we shouldn't, then by necessity we must then say it in French: Canada Law, must be in French!

In regards to Viva Comer, HotRodZilla is absolutely correct, regardless of what an online translator may be telling you: Viva Comer indeed means "Live to Eat!" Trust me, I live in Barrio del Chandler; I'm only one in my 'hood with an Anglo name!!!

Wee Willy: If indeed airboss breaded, fried and ate a mummified cat: I say more power to him, he's a worthy Los Robustos!

In the Mexican village of Taxco de Alarcon, which sits on the border of the Mexican States of Michoacan and Puebla, they celebrate "Dia de Jamil" every year in springtime. Dia de Jamil means The Day of the Beetle. They spend the day hand harvesting beetles or crickets that are infesting their corn fields. They bring them to Zocalo Centro, town square, in burlap bags. A huge fiesta is going on with musica, bailes, y muy frio cerveza. You stand in line to get your plate of arroz, frijoles y dos tacos filled with queso, cilantro, chopped tomato, onions and still live beetles. Been there, done that, got the T-shirt!

Indeed! I believe that makes him prime membership material. I'll nominate or second as required. Anyone willing to tackle that mystery sandwich deserves our profound respect.

Has the name El Gordo been reserved? Or Poquito Willy?

Poquito Willy has a certain ring to it. Sort of like Tiny is honored as a great nickname for a lineman in football. I like that.

El Presidente y El Grande: After due consideration my vote is now fully in, it should indeed read Eat to Ride, Ride to Eat only.

The lingering fear in the back of my mind is that we may have a revolt on our hands from the Canuckistans. They well may insist on the lettering being in French and could conceivably wreak all kinds of havoc. Look at Quebec over last 250 years!!!

Motion carried. The official motto of Los Robustos is "Eat to Ride, Ride to Eat".
El Jefe we still need your vote on the logo. We have to "for" and you vote is?
I'm fully voting for the DABRIT logo, I personally feel that it completely embodies our noble ideals and Los Robustos virtues!

As far as any concerns over the 1% views on our new and particular patch: I've had a number of the Phoenix Hell's Angels working for me over my last twenty-two years at Metro Mechanical. Remember the shootout at Harrah's during Laughlin Bike Week a few years ago, where the HA pulled his pistol and killed a Vagos: Was my very best mechanic and friend Cal.

Last night I called a few of my Angel buddies and asked their opinion: They looked at the link and said they saw no problem!
