Since the annual, "What should Yamaha do?" thread has started, I was wondering who is happiest out of the box?

I have done very little to my 04;

Heli Risers

Top Gun Bar Ends

NEP Throttle lock

Grip Puppies

TOGs

Tanji Heel Guards

Pillion Foot Shields

Cox Radiator Guard

Hyper-Lites

MCL Fork Brace (edit - Oops..forgot that at first. Man this stuff adds up)

Russell Seats (in the mail)

Most of it done for comfort and protection.

I am sure some (who have miles on their bike) have done less?!

edit - I do have a Yammy Top Box, but don't consider that a farkle.

Now THIS is an interesting thread! Most excellent FJRottie!

I won't even contribute, as I my FJR hasn't resembled stock in a loooong time, but I am looking forward to some of the responses.
We've had countless threads on the insanely farkled FJRS. Let's hear from the other side - those who think farkle is a four letter word.

I like this post. I think that the FJR is pretty good out of the box. Here are a few mods:

- V-Strom Hand Guards

- Galfer Brake Lines up FFront

- Replaced the '03 springs with '04

Canadian FJR

I'm also not close to a farkleless candidate, but I think the only thing I couldn't live without would be a throttle lock. Everything else is gravy.

BMW ribbed grips

Custom bar ends

Vista Cruise

Power Commander

Garauld Rack

K&N filter

Windshield spacer

Sheepskin seat cover

Wow, the list is longer than I thought it would be.

I have a friend, Dan, in Fairfield, CA who has a "stock" '04. He rides with us when he can get off work.

IIRC, Ric-in-sac hasn't done much to his, either. XM radio, they throw fleece over the seat now and then.

LastChance has changed his tires.......

Let's hear from those who enjoy their bikes just as they come.

While I would not even hazard a compitition of Farkles with Skooter, Ignacio, and others. I am way OUT of this list.

Really didn't think I'd done much to it till I started adding it all up!lol Still not much compared to some on here!

1) Bar risers

2) Shock and FRT. springs

3) Stem nut Ram mount (Cam. & GPS)

4) 12v power adapter

5) GIVI trunk & mount

6) ProGrips

7) Throttlemiester

8) Small mag. tank bag

9) '05 windscreen

10) Mich. tires

11) R1 shift arm

Very little here in 6 months and only 6500 miles. Only doing a few hundred miles at a time so far.

Added a Givi 52 L. (which I rarely use) with OHFJRs rack. Planning on a taller wider windshield

and custom seat and GPS when I can partially retire and put some miles on.

I did order skyways hydration system also. Oh yeah, bar risers were a critical first farkle.

A month ago I would have said

grip puppies

TOGS

throttle spring release

As winter progresses the list grows, can I still play with my short list since I'm not riding?

As of 10 January 07, in order of installation

Added screen to front vents

Skyway sliders

BrakeAway throttle lock

My 06 only has sliders, but i've only had

it for 3 weeks. It needs ALOT of work.

I have a PC III and a GPS. Replaced the OEM tires with Diablo Stradas. That's it. My wife's ST 1300 has more.

I'm also not close to a farkleless candidate, but I think the only thing I couldn't live without would be a throttle lock. Everything else is gravy.
Oh

I'm also not close to a farkleless candidate, but I think the only thing I couldn't live without would be a throttle lock. Everything else is gravy.
Oh how quickly they forget how NEEDED each and every farkle was.. (the seat Mr. Igancio?) remember... Galaxy Blue and ToeCutter are saving old posts as I type.. need I say more?

Received the bike in April. Up until 3 weeks ago the list was:

Skyway's sliders

But 3 weeks ago I added:

CalSci tall windshield

G2 "FJR Fix" throttle

Grand Touring grips

Do I win? I'll bet my "farkle dollars per month" puts me in the running at least.
