I don't know if I should be proud or embarassed. Can anyone top this?

First batch '05, received Sept. '04, 21,500 miles and I've done this: released the middle throttle spring, and unplugged the windscreen auto-retract just a few days ago. .

That's it.

Not that I want it this way. I've got a long Christmas list of farkles but I'm too poor to get any of it.

Ding, Ding, Ding I think we have a winner...or at least a strong runner up.

For mine the list is fairly short as well.

Vista Cruise

Cramp Buster

Moko Sliders

New set of Avons - These count as a wear item though.

Custom fenda extenda

Saddle bag reflectors

Custom luggage rack and back rest

Blue Sea fuse block w/ tender lead

Scorpio alarm

Damn this list does get long quick, eh

Let's see, Cee Baily windscreen

Grand touring grips

Sargeant seats. That's it.

My '06A has just a few additions:

Skyway aluminum sliders

Vista Cruise throttle lock

Grip puppies

Heavier bar ends

Powerlet socket

Certainly not the fewest, but probably among the cheapest:

Heli risers

Saeng Ta microswirl windshield edging

R1 shift arm

Tacki grips

Vista Cruise

Power outlet/charger connection

TOG's

Oops, I forgot these:

Bar ends

Radiator guard.

Bought mine used so the alreadu installed Farkles would be: tall windscreen, risers and heated grips. I added a commo system but it sits on my helmet so don't think it really counts.

This is one competion I won't even try to enter, I had a box full of farkles sitting in the garage, three months before the bike even got here. :dribble:

I really like the FJR in just its pure out of the box form. Anything added on the bike IMO seems to take away from the "clean" sleek look of the bike. The less is better acronym applies. So far I have only added:

Grip Puppies

Handlebar Risers

Headlight Protectors

Rear Luggage Rack (To be installed)

Moko Sliders

Wild Bill Pegs

06 Service Manual

Escort 50 RD (To be installed)

Skyway RD Mount (To be installed)

Skyway Hydration System (To be installed)

Did throttle spring mod

Kuryakyn Grantraveler Bag

Helmet speakers

Custom Seat (Now under construction by me)

Trying to keep it clean and uncluttered. PM. <>< :D

I took possession of my Montana '03 in Feb. '03, now with 28,000 miles. We get 6-7-month seasons. It has been out of service for a total of about 5 months (in season) due to theft (recovery, totalled, reacquisition, restoration) and both wheels bent by a rock in the road (straightened and refinished). The bike remains stock with a few exceptions: the larger AHAMAY windscreen, Corbin seat, D&R risers and softer grips. The machine performs very well with no engine mods (valve check - all in spec; throttle body sync which eliminated small amount of surge and added, smoothed power throughout) but would benefit from suspension upgrades, especially in the rear. I've run Battleaxes, Pilot Roads and Dunlops (crap) and have a set of Avons to spoon on come spring. Planned future mods: may work on heat abatement, though it's only problematic very infrequently, given the regional climates. About 80 percent of my riding is with a pillion (side bags, tank bag and tail pack loaded) along excellent mountain roads of Montana, Wyoming, Idaho, Washington and British Columbia, though I have trailered south for early- and late-season Southwest tours in Utah, New Mexico, Arizona. I came from a CBR 1100 XX, which I repurchased last September for the occasional WFO canyon strafe. In my opinion, the FJR is near perfect for our use and economical to purchase (paid $9,000 with 1,300 miles on it four years ago), economical and easy to maintain, and no repairs other than those required due to human causes.

Big Sky

OK, I have

Skyway Sliders

Tank Sticky fake carbon fiber thing so I dont scratch the tank

Matching sticky carbon fiber thingy on my gas talk

New Bar ends, I dont like them and they will be going soon

I feel I am losing the battle for 'farkleless' FJR.. only had the bike since 24-Nov and already done or doing following:

RAM mount ball for brake/clutch bracket

Garmin 276 GPS

G2 Throttle tube/cam - installed yesterday

Bluesea Aux circuit panel - arrived today

Skyway slider kit - enroute

Yammaahhaa Svc manual - enroute

Snakeskin tankskins - enroute

Gerbings electrical tails ( pending bluesea install)

Tricklecharger electrical tails ( pending bluesea install)

lookin at orderin within the next 30 days -

grip puppies or BMW sportgrips

Hiway peg kit of some kind

multivex mirrors

steering stem nut mount

calsci shield ( maybe...)

audiovox cruise

dang.. I guess Im not gonna win that farkle-less award after all....
