Colts of all stripes give me wood ;)

and I catch crap for my sheep fetish... :(
Frickin' pedophiles. Go for the mare.
He can't reach her . . . .
Dig a hole and lead her into it. Alternatively climb a ladder. Sheesh...
Ya see -- this is what you gotta love about this place. Everyone here is so eager to help. Especially those with special, hard to find expertise.

And what the heck -- for a gun thread, I s'pose it's admirable that it didn't end up getting closed for political content. But only in winter, and on this forum might it have taken this direction.

I carry a Kahr .45. Just 7 shot, but very small and the smoothest DAO trigger I have ever used.

I use a Kimber in 10mm for hunting, but it's rather large and heavy for daily carry.

(Sorry, no animal *** content.)

Oh for Petey's Sake ShinyPartsUp, that's the crappiest advice I've ever seen doled out on our FJR Forum. I knew you were born at night, but were you born last night?

My Brother Rich, you know you can trust The Old Burro Fornicator Papa Chuy Viejo. Are you really going to walk out into the pasture with either a shovel or a ladder?

The answer to this question is: Hell Friggin' No! Do like BeemerDonS, use drywalling stilts! Marshalltown makes the very best, mine are adustable from 24" to 40"!

And they are built from stainless steel! RadioHowie has been using them in the saltwater brackish estuaries of Florida for Manatee *** for five mating seasons now!

Muchas gracias, Papa Chuy. That makes far better sense than what Shiny suggested, now that I've read your reasoning. Yer right -- the ladder's unduly cumbersome for sneaking night time pasture pleasure, and by the time you got done diggin' a big enuf hole, the mare probably would've lost interest.

Excellent suggestion on the drywall stilts, though. You must've known that I was a drywall taper in younger years.** I suppose mounting a mare or burro in a pasture on em couldn't be any more difficult than using them to spot nails on 10 foot lids -- least you got something to hold onto the way you use em. Et tu, Howie??

** Coincidentally, a trade that both madmike and I once earned livings at.

As you know exskibum, I'm a 40 year Career Pipefitter. First 18 years were in the Field as a Fitter working for a living and the last 22 were in Management as Senior Project Manager for Metro Mechanical; or "The Office Slug" as my Fitters and Weldors would call me. No one works harder in the Construction Trades than Drywallers!

That's probably debatable -- nearly everyone works hard in the construction trades. I was a laborer first (1969 and 70) and became a journeyman painter and drywall taper after that.

What is certain is that drywall finishing was by far the best trade for being a ski bum in resort towns in the '70s. New residential construction got closed in by the carpenters, masons, plasterers and roofers before the snow flies (mostly). After that, while they're outside in the cold taking care of remaining details, we're inside with the heaters going and boom boxes rocking, monotonously making the walls look good. The fall was really steady work, very often 7 days a week, stacking money up for the winter. By the first or second week of January, the work comes to a near complete halt, there's a good base on the mountain, the season's pass has been paid for since July, and the boards are waxed and ready to go -- it's time to go sliding!!! :yahoo: :yahoo:

From that time until the mountain closed, the full time job was skiing and the food budget was assisted by regularly partaking of a few local restaurants' "locals specials" meals (so what if spaghetti and tacos were the usual staples there -- it was cheap). Usually had only a couple jobs during the winter with which to replenish the wallet. Which, bringing this full circle, was the reason my cash stores were low in L.A. in April 1978 and I had to sell that 4" Python. That I sold it so cheap was, well . . . just a matter of stupidity and asking too little in the ad.

Damn -- those were the days! :)

Ya Jackwagon...there was nothing political about this thread 'til you mentioned "political content". WHAT political content???

Hey ya manatee fecker, try an roll with it, instead of being so serious. Or ain't ya been laid in a while 'cause the manatees aren't near shore this time of year? The statistics show that 47% of threads on this site that mention "guns" become political, 65% of which get closed. I know, I know -- yer posting in the mid morning, coffee ain't as effective as meth, yer old and the synapses don't work til mid afternoon. :p

Hey, take it easy on the old druggies. If things aren't working for me by midmorning,I give up for the day.

To keep it on subject I think I'll shoot the 1911 today or maybe the LLama or both. Sure glad I have a bullet trap in the shop :p cause it's only 15 outside.

That's an admirable perspective/solution, Ray. I believe I may adopt it soon -- this advanced age thing is a *****.

Envy, envy, envy. :p

Well I shot both of them today and I gotta say that I don't think I can make friends with the LLama. It's the minimax which is colt comander size and the grip is to short for my large hands. I got it on a labor trade and I think it will go in the for sale pile.

I really like the full size series 80 1911 that I have had for years and I like shooting indoors when the weather is ****** :D

Does Howie prefer male or female Manatees or is he ok with both?

Bill

Just depends on which direction they're headed.
Bust says the same thing about sheep
Except Bust pulls all his sheeps' teeth. I think it's cruel, but that sick ******* says that with no teeth, he don't care which way they're facing.
Didn't this start with guns????? Would have been better if it had gone political. I'm going to think about toothless sheep all night.
