Mouth is full? Highly unlikely as I've been told oral *** with sheep is Immoral ya sick fukers.

I still practice it behind closed door though

Oh for Petey's Sake ShinyPartsUp, that's the crappiest advice I've ever seen doled out on our FJR Forum. I knew you were born at night, but were you born last night?

My Brother Rich, you know you can trust The Old Burro Fornicator Papa Chuy Viejo. Are you really going to walk out into the pasture with either a shovel or a ladder?

The answer to this question is: Hell Friggin' No! Do like BeemerDonS, use drywalling stilts! Marshalltown makes the very best, mine are adustable from 24" to 40"!

And they are built from stainless steel! RadioHowie has been using them in the saltwater brackish estuaries of Florida for Manatee *** for five mating seasons now!

Ej Jefe, I bow before your genius!

Shot my model 20 10mm Glock today.

135gr Nosler going 1600fps out of a 6" barrel.

First time I tried that reload in the 10mm.

I really like that round, 1300fps in 40 S&W.

Yeah...Them follow-up shots are a *****. We were just talking today about the bullets that made huge debuts and then just kind of faded away. Specifically 10mm, 45Gap, and lots of the WSM rounds.

And what the heck -- for a gun thread, I s'pose it's admirable that it didn't end up getting closed for political content. But only in winter, and on this forum might it have taken this direction.
Ya Jackwagon...there was nothing political about this thread 'til you mentioned "political content". WHAT political content???
Hey ya manatee fecker, try an roll with it, instead of being so serious. Or ain't ya been laid in a while 'cause the manatees aren't near shore this time of year? The statistics show that 47% of threads on this site that mention "guns" become political, 65% of which get closed. I know, I know -- yer posting in the mid morning, coffee ain't as effective as meth, yer old and the synapses don't work til mid afternoon. :p
Hey, take it easy on the old druggies. If things aren't working for me by midmorning,I give up for the day.

To keep it on subject I think I'll shoot the 1911 today or maybe the LLama or both. Sure glad I have a bullet trap in the shop :p cause it's only 15 outside.
Mind showing pic or elaborating? I've been searching for a snail type trap for the back yard.

I don't know if I have any pics. I'll look but I'm not to good at trying to post them either. It's made out of 1/4 plate steel. It's basicly a box 30X30 with the back angled at 45 degrees. The front has a chanel for plywood to slide into. The base has a 6" deep border around it filled with sand. Bullet goes through the plywood and hits the angled back and the remains end up in the sand. The sides contain the rest of it. I have used hand guns up to full house 44 mag with no issues. the 223 raised hell with the angled back plate so if I was going to use it for rifles I would use 1/2 armor plate on the back. I have used it for years with no problems. I'll see if I can get some pictures up.

I got some pics today but the puter won't load them from my camera so I will see if I can get my laptop to do the job. Then all I have to do is relearn the posting thing. Haven't done it for some time.

What Ray doesn't tell you is there is a classic car parked right behind the trap. I'd say Ray is a very good welder and shot, or kinda crazy. He ain't crazy, so....

Anyway, I looked it over when I was in his shop and it is simple and slick.

A .223 Ray? From that distance? Maybe you are crazy.

Can't wait to bring my little 4 inch cannon up there next Spring and try it out. And Old Michael I am not talking about my gun between my legs.

I guess I'm old school. I love my Clark Custom 1911 series 70 colt and my old Belgium made Browning 9mm Hi power. I like the revovlers, but shooting the good old semi autos are great. I do get a little weary of picking up brass for reloading, but it's worth it to me.

The girls in the barn said your 4 incher was fine with them. They wouldn't show me video  :p

Livin' up here in NS Canada I prefer the .308 Winchester 7.62x51mm NATO over the Colt or Glock. It's just sooo hard to find a shoulder sling that works well on the FJR!

You could use a Contender in .308 but you only get one shot.

You need a different .45 to shoot, then. ;)
I have a few to chose from. The problem is not enough ammo to shoot as much as I would like.I do prefer the 1911 layout. The comander is to small for my hand.

That'd be a cool gun to have in the safe to show off to people who like unique guns, but for personal defense, it's more of a gimick. Get a good hammerless revolver, or a small semi-auto.

Kahr, Glock, Smith&Wesson, Springfield, Kimber and others make small, light, very reliable guns for concealed carry that carry multiple rounds. For ease of use, go with a revolver. Revolvers almost never malfunction, and if a round doesn't go off, all you do is pull the trigger again to advance to the next bullet.

Many of the new compact semi-autos are really affordable and very reliable. Just takes more practice to learn malfunction clearance. Once that is done, carrying extra rounds in a magazine gives way better reloading options than a revolver. Depends on what you are gonna use it for.

Okay, as a self-admitted firearms ignoramus, I gotta ask the experts here, WHY is there a discussion about Colt vs Glock?

The consensus appears to favor the M1911...is it the classic design? The fact that it's "The First"? Is it truly a better handgun? Is it more accurate? More trouble-free? What's the dealio?

I actually want to know what the big deal is.

Again, without being a handgun aficionado, I don't really know why pick one over the other. But admittedly, from purely an appearance P.O.V., the M1911 is a MUCH better looking weapon. AND, it would be ideal for driving tent stakes, clubbing weasels, smashing out car windows, pistol-whipping children, etc. :p
