Got mine yesterday! A little Mother's Mag and Aluminum Polish and it looks like a matched set next with my new Big Daddy's Bad Ass Bar Ends!

THANKS SKYWAY!!!!!!!

Skyway, just came home and found out ups left me a gift. The cc mount looks great now I just need the 06 to put it on. Thanks again.

Steve

Thanks everyone for the positive feedback. I'm glad everyone so far has been happy with their CC mount.

I'm patiently waiting for the different surface finishes to appear in some picci's. :)

Got mine today. Looks pretty sweet. Can't wait to get it installed. Big ups to both you guys for doing this. Now, if I can just get around to working on the bike (not as much fun as riding, IMO).

I too ordered 1 mount for powdercoating and today finally got a chance to check it out. One thing I want to point out is that some paint was on the M6 thread that is used to attach both pieces. I only tried starting the screw lightly by hand and it was tight.

I just want to let everyone know that if you notice this as well, please don't be alarmed. Prior to paint the threads worked fine and they should be ok during assembly.

I did not see the other mounts before you guys recieved them, so maybe this is not even an issue for anyone else. When they are being assembled, if it just feels too tight and you feel thread damage may be imminant, take the M6 ss screw and grind 2 small notches at the end of the screw, 180 degrees apart deep enough to be below the root of the thread. This will allow somewhere for the paint to go as you tighten up. This should prevent any potential thread damage from occuring.

This post is probably way way overkill regarding any paint issues, but I want to make sure that there are no final assembly problems.

I got mine today, and I must compliment you skyway on a fabulous job producing a beautifully designed and machined accessory. Also, thanks to garauld for a smooth factory-like finish. I installed the mount with the cc keypad sitting in it, and it truly looks like a factory-intended accessory. I could not be more pleased!

I also experienced tight threads, but being the ham-fisted amateur I am, I just kept going with slightly more force. After being installed once, the threads are completely smooth with just the normal amount of resistance.

I can't remember being ths pleased and excited over anything else I've purchased for the FJR. This will make a very nice accessory.

Thanks again for making this available to us.

Sorry about getting too much paint in there. I tried one out and it worked fine - I guess I should have run a tap down through the rest of them to clean the threads. I will do that on any others I get... :(

No biggie, just want to make everyone aware. I'll be swapping my rattle can version out when I get a chance.

Absolutely beautiful machine work and finishing. THANKS to Skyway and Garauld for quality parts at very reasonable prices. I already installed the bracket and cc on my 06A prototype delivered special to me from Yamaha and have cruised through the SouthWestern states already... ;)

Do any of you guys have any pics of an installed bracket with the CC?

Would like to see these on the post....THANK YOU.

Check the first post on the first page in this thread...

Skyway, I'm a late adapter also.  I sure would love to have one also.  Any Chance?
Don    :)
Don, just follow the instructions on the first page of this thread. I still have some left.

If you want powder coating, just let me know.

Thanks Skyway! I'll go back and review the thread and followup with you. I also need to make sure I can get my hands on a CC.

Don

Skyway, I'm sending you $72.00 via PayPal.

Garauld, I'm sending you $12.00 via PayPal.

Thanks to you both. I'm waiting for my first FJR, an '06 "A", due in April. Never too early to start gathering farkles.

Skyway,

Sorry for being late on the buy- in, I would like to pick up 3 units if you are still able to accomodate me. :)

I think I can make them fit a CBR1100xx,as well.
