As one admin I'm not undoing it unless I see motorgod do something extra beneficial for the community. Even if one ignores this stunt thread--I haven't seen some other act that's notable in helping.
For one, I think we should get rid of pictures in sig lines altogether. They're distracting even if they're not animated. I already see it proliferating where people want more than their avatar and are slipping them in sigs.

I think one of the best features that this site offers is that you can turn the avatars and signatures OFF. Its really nice not to have all that stuff cluttering up the screen.

That's all Kharma snake oil and self agrandizing IMO. Just stopping an action doesn't cut it. Kharma restoration should be a harder positive act than the original negative.

Examples of kharma restoration: Offering to help another user with their fork springs and riding to their house to do it (been done by a person that got a warning), snapping a picture of a farkle and posting the personalized details to the group, etc. Of course these have been taken and were obvious to the admins without the user having to point it out.......

I'm certainly not an admin, but I kinda owe ya one for the ribbin a while back.

See if this is ok.

10 k is as small as I could get it with out it getting kind of crappy and I wasn't willing to do that to the nice lady. Still, it is 1/3 the original byte count.

Ditto on offering to help optimize avatars and images (even personal photos).  I got my avatar to 5K very easily.  My sig line is about 0.1K of text.

You're free to have your way with my avatar and sig files. I'm at work so can't resize the photo until Thursday at the earliest. It's like 150k now. Yikes!

Moi? I have no ego, so no adjustment is needed. You, on the other hand, should seek out the products of the Mentor Corporation. I hear they do wonders in building ones self confidence.

Actually, if you think about, he unintentionally got some of us aware of of file sizes and download times. I would'nt have thought about dial up times without this thread.
