Well there goes my good idea. I'm not going to be able to do any good on

EOM-8. Our vacation picks are to me and none of the weeks I can select

are open at the places that can host the event.

I can't beleave that the weeks open for an event and what I can get

for vacation will not match up, but they don't.

So if anyone else can find a place to host EOM-08 then please go for it.

Chuck

We're catching a cruise ship on the 19th.
Thats a four letter word here "SHIP". You can't say that on this forum!

Earlier would be fine by me too. Just have to watch out for Labor Day, Canadian Rally and the MotoGP dates. Why do we have this during hurricane season?

Well, I don't know what else to call it???????I tried the word boat and was severly chastised. Guess I don't care as long as the food is good and the damned thing doesn't sink or catch fire!

Don't forget Legionnaires disease and rogue waves.....

Remember to throw SFO in the Sept mix as well.
Thanks! Safe on that one:

2008 SFO October 3-6
Please note that plans for SFO 08 have changed and there will be no fall rally for SFO. We are only getting together in the spring, in Eureka Springs, AR April 24-27. Please check out our website for info.

There are just too many other regional meets going on in the fall and I can't be there for it due to overtime at work so SFO is bailing out of the fall. We seem to have a niche in the spring so we're gonna stick with that.

Sorry for any confusion.

I vote for anywhere in eastern West Virginia (first choice) or southwestern Pennsylvania (second choice, but it makes for a long ride for those who live further south). I thought that Lewisburg was a great area, and the motel was exceptional for the price. Thanks again to the EOM 07 organizers. :clapping:

+1 Would love to return to Lewisburg again. I need to schedule my 2008 vacation soon, has any decision about a date been made for 2008 EOM?

I don't think anyone from the area has (will) stepped up to take over the reins. Looks like nothing is going to happen this year. Too bad, I really enjoyed it.

So...being that I am still a FNG on this site, where do I sign up for such festivities?
Mr. Marine Sir!

This here thread is 150 posts and 4000 views about people who WANT have an Eastern Owners meeting and hoping someone else will raise there hand and say "I'll get it going!".

So far no one has stepped up to take the reins...so there is no meeting set up this coming year.....

.....yet.

Therefore, there is no signup yet. If someone does wade in and take the reins...then info will be forthcoming. Until then...at ease.

(BTW, thanks for your service. :clapping: :clapping: )

GUNNY

I vote for Saint Johnsbury, Vermont! :clapping: I've lived in the Southeast for 42 years. Long enough to know that it all looks the same. :boredom: Let's break out and see some new scenery! Let's see some covered bridges! Heck, they even have a bridge that floats (links below). Let's see if anyone's brave enough to cross it without bustin' their butt. I hear those boards can get slick.

Ben & Jerry's headquarters is just down the road in Waterbury. There's Mt. Mansfield to the west. The White Mountains are to the east in New Hampshire. We might even get to see a real live moose. Let's see some of those white barked trees. What are they called Birch?

I know I'm just a FNG but I don't want hear any whining that it's too far. I for one have no problem spending 2 days in the saddle to get to an "annual regional event". That's what these bikes were made for, ridin'! :yahoo:
