BTW... I work in Chesapeake... Great Bridge to be more exact. I'm assuming that I'll ride my bike to work on Wednesday morning & leave right from here @ noon.

New plans for me. Due to unfortunate events, we have no extended childcare, so Annette will not be along this year. What does this mean for me? Daily mileage average can be slid way to the right...
Saturday - ride to SC for birthday party.
Sunday - Breakfast in Savannah, local ride, catch up with friends.
Monday - North Georgia
Tuesday - Lewisburg??
Wednesday - VA & NC to Hendersonville
Thursday - EOM 500
Friday - Sat - EOM
Sunday - head home.
I think I'll need to drop ship a set of tires to SC...

Wish I had the vacation time to follow you around on that EOM-500 on Thursday...but no can do. I'll be riding down on Thursday, so I can drink a beer in the parking lot wid'cha...and you can tell me all about what that crazy man Ashe did to ya.

Think of my run as a route recon - we can run it again on Friday in the opposite direction. You're pulling 500+ on the way down aren't you?
Me burning these 5 days of vacation time is giving bambi a significant advantage this fall...
0530 departure should put me back in the parking lot between 4 and 6pm. maybe. Spot tracker will be live at that point.

That sounds like fun...are you sure you can handle that...I mean two 500 mile twisty days back to back could be hard on you - considering your age and all. Just kidding, of course. 
Yes, griff and I will be coming from Columbus, IN on Thursday morning winding our way through some good roads in IN and KY before the twisty roads puke us out onto the interstate by EOM HQ 2011.

My plans.
18th: Leave from work. Destination, Southern Ontario, most likely my sisters place just south of Guelph.
19th: Sit on bike, stop at duty free and pick up some good Cdn beer. Twist wrist until Marietta comes into view. Ride a few of the tastier routes to the east of interstate.
20th: Point bike south, tell it to get me to Hendersonville.
EOM!
24th: Point bike north. Twist wrist.
25th: Curse my home base for being so far from everything. Continue North until the leaves change color. Stop when I see lots of rocks.

Our plans this year are pertty damn boring:

It's only 4 hrs down 77 from Marietta...you can handle that. Then you can ride the BRP with us down to Ashville on Thursday. Staying at the Super 8 in Hillsville

Hrmph.. it's 400mi from Hamilton to Marietta which would mean I'd have to leave Hamilton early to get to Marietta for 2. Or, I could save time and just head directly to Hillsville. Thats put it about 600 miles even. Let me dwell on it a bit.

I'm looking forward to meeting you all there but will most likely travel alone unless.....
Itinerary will be;
Sep. 17 Kitchener ON to Grantsville MD
Sep. 18 Grantsville MD to Warrensville NC and stay with sister in-law and husband
Sep. 19 Warrensville NC, ride the area and end up in Hendersonville
Sep. 23 Go home - no firm plan yet but it doesn't include slab riding.
It will be the twistiest roads all the way, with hopefully no more than two hours of slab riding in the 1100 miles total, to get down there.
I'm hoping nobody needs house designs finished for that week. <_<
