That got kinda knarly 9 minutes in.... I think I`ll follow Bungie.

Oh wait, where`s he going now.......
To infinity and beyond!

Not sure what your plans are for Team Pot Belly. But Mike and I are cutting out Wed morning for SE Ohio (most likely Marietta). From there south it'll be Rt 16 and the Snake before EOM. You guys are welcome to come along. Same thing goes for Tom.

I don't think Rob is coming as I don't see him registered. He's working to damn hard because he's retired I guess.

My wife's back surgery is getting pushed closer and closer to this, so I'm probably not going to make it down there at all...again. I'll wait until the last minute to cancel my room, just in case.
Back surgery?!?

That sounds aboot as much fun as a root canal. I hope it works out well for her, Phil. The mention of back surgery makes my nads crawl for cover.

Do what ya gotta do, man. Hopefully we'll see ya at EOM. If not, Tech Day V is gonna be a couple of weeks afterwards up in Owosso. Hopefully you can come up there.

Been there - I'd opt for the root canal. Hope everything works out smoothly for her.

Geek - it's not the surgery, it's the catheter 2 weeks before and a week after that get you...

Having gone through 2 back surgeries already, I would not hesitate doing it again (and I will probably need to)

As far as the catheter insertion procedure...I had that experience 48 years ago, and am still truamatized by it.

At six years old it kinda felt like they were trying to shove a telephone pole up my weiner

Here, let me seal the deal for you.

Catheters come in different types. One in particular is called a "condom catheter". Instead of a garden hose being run down the pipe, this one slips over and has a tube out the end. The benefit is reduced chances of infection - which long term catheterizaiton can cause. Guess how they keep it from leaking? "Mild adhesive" they called it. I cannot tell you how long it took them to peel it off in pieces, but "eternity" comes to mind. And Roanoke was "teaching" hospital - lots of beautiful young ladies want to be nurses. I'm sure some changed their mind after that.

You're welcome.

It's official.

My nads have run for cover and will not be seen nor heard from again until the spring.

Thanks, Wayne. I appreciate it.

Wow. I didn't mean to make this thread take the very strange turn that it has taken, catheters and such...

Her surgery is scheduled for the 12th, so I doubt she'll be well enough for me to leave the following week. I hope you guys have fun, ride safe and I'll try to make it next year. Thanks for the well wishes for my wife.

Phil,

With both of my back surgeries, I was out of work for 9 days. So ya might wanna hang around to give her a hand with things.

Good Luck,

Joe

I left my wife at home with a little surgery on her thumb.

Evidently "you got another hand" wasn't the loving thing to say.

The MC camp out was fun.

Ok, I don't have a catheter or back surgery story but the wife and I will be heading out from Middle Tennessee early Thursday morning. We will be using the Trailer in a Bag, so if anyone needs something tossed in the truck let me know.

Beer an bourbon. That ought to take care of it!

Thanks for the traffic alert!

This will definitely delay me...or may make me choose a different way to get down there from Hicktucky on south.

Well, I am down, but not out. I won't be able to do the Thursday morning meet-up in Fancy Gap and ride the BRP down. I will be coming over via 40 on Thursday.

Bummer Scott, we'll be looking for you on Thurday eve.

& hope all is ok.
