Now I just have to hope my bike (Can Am Spyder) is actually ready on Tuesday.
Tyler rides a Spyder and I have more than a few hours following her in Ca. So yours would make feel right at home.
Very COOL!!
Yup... just got back from NAFO in La Crosse, WI where I rented a brand-spankin'-new 2014 RT since the dealer had sold the demo unit they were going to give me... oh darn!! :D This is a fantastically wonderful, welcoming, and wacky group of folks... you will have a blast on the Spyder or on the back of the FJR... hope to meet you one of these days... thought about trying to combine EOM with NAFO but just not enough time off from work available... EOM is on my list of events to check out next year especially after meeting so many of the great folks out that way this past weekend including Wayne (extrememarine) and STripperMike just to name a couple... :D

Going to hold you to that...

Johnson City EOM was when I got rained on for 7 days straight. Not light pretty rain, but Noah rain!

Man...I should write a ride report, but I'm lazy and just haven't taken many pictures. We are in New Orleans now and will be here until Tuesday morning before heading to Calhoun GA.

We left Albuquerque at 0515 on Saturday morning and immediately hit fog. It was stupid thick, so we had to slow down. That stayed with us until we got to Fort Sumner NM. From there to Clovis it was cold, but nice.

We gassed up in Clovis and headed towards Lubbock. Just after we got onto 84 from the Lubbock bypass, the rain started. It rained like a SOB almost to Abilene. We stopped in Sweetwater for gas and ate. Got our rain gear off and hauled ***.

We ended up changing our route and took TX Highway 6 to Waco on the way to Conroe TX. We got to Jeff and Jackie's house around 7:45. We had an amazing dinner and stated the night with our very gracious hosts. They are great friends!!

I was up at 0730 this morning, but the ******* Patch didn't get up until almost nine. By the time we ate, yapped, and screwed off we didn't leave until almost noon.

We burned road to Redfishhunter's place in Prarieville. Him and his very beautiful wife fed us another amazing dinner and he showed us his house. I'll let him tell you the story, but it is COOL!! We met his dad who was in the Marine Corps like Patch, so we had a good time. RFH's son is a typical 10 year old boy. He made me laugh. What a cool kid!!

We left there at 8 pm on our way to a friend of Hanna's parents in New Orleans. We got onto I 10 and were doing around 90. We were holding up traffic. Holy Crap!! We got herr at 9:15 and just now headed to our rooms. Tomorrow is a day off the bikes, so we're gonna wander around NO and have fun.

After that, we'll be back on the road Tuesday morning...As we close in on EOM. Right now, we are safe, dry, warm and having fun. It's hard to beat that!!

I was wondering where you were AJ. After 2,400 miles in 4 days I took yesterday off while at my cousins home in Leitchfield, ky. Enjoyed a tour of Mammoth Cave and the National Corvette museum inBowling Green. Saw the sink hole and 4 of the 6 cars that were fell into the hole at 5:39 am.

Turns out my cousin's husband has a 53 vette (1st year)and is worth a few bucks, didn't get to drive it-dang it. Things are so green back here and no smoke like at home from the King fire.

Saw my first Armidillo in southern Missouri on Friday, but after seeing at least another fifty road kill Dillo's along the road it wasn't very novel anymore. They call them hillbilly speed bumps.

Off to West Virginia today with some cooler temps, see you Thursday.

Thanks! I will disagree with you on one thing: I have ridden on the back of the '14 FJR and I didn't like it. It could be the Shad top bag and my fat *** feeling 'pinned in', but I really didn't like the position of the passenger footpegs. My legs and feet were really uncomfortable and I couldn't move around a lot.

With that said, I don't spend any time back there any way. Got my Spyder back in March of 2013 built straight from the crate and a year and a half later it has almost 18,000 miles on it. :D :D :D :D :D I love herrrrrr :D

It isn't looking good that my bike will be ready by Wednesday or even Thursday. I'm livid. They've had the bike since the 11th. The service manager said a couple of parts from Canada haven't come yet. Expected date is Wednesday - the day her CanAm tech is off because she asked him to work on Tuesday since we expected the parts in. Oh holy hell I am about to go postal on this place. They should be providing me a loaner damn it!!!!! There is NO WAY I'm gonna be cooped up as a passenger LOL

I will be arriving Friday morning, is there someone I need to find to check in?

First time making it to EOM.

Thanks in advance, Mark.

You check in at the check in counter and put your stuff in your room. There will be a lot of people socializing outside the main entrance. Do not be alarmed! That would be us! :)

If you registered, you're checked in. Enjoy!

If we are all out riding when you arrive Friday, no worries...we will be back and staff the registration table in the late afternoon through the evening! Information about where to find our registration table will be posted in the lobby or the front desk will direct you.

Thanks to the snort-laughs on Saturday at the NAFO banquet, we decided to commit to another EOM.

I will head down Thursday and arrive sometime in the evening. Sooze will drive down after work Friday.

Had I followed this thread and known 'Zilla was gonna be there.... Well, he is what the internet calls a "weirdo." Kinda like Howie, only younger. Much younger.

Anyway, see you Thursday.

ETA: Spelling more gooder and fixed Sooze's arrival.

Uhhh.... Either ya haven't met 'em both, or Mexican food is the next great youth treatment.
Oh, I know AJ. It's the beans that keep him young. I try to eat my share but it's not working for me.
Riding dual sports with Spklbuk today in WV, tomorrow I'll ride with some Wingnuts and Maggie Valley Thursday. Damn it's green in theses parts.

The entire Redfish family was honored to have the three of you in our home. I am extremely pleased dinner was good for you guys, Mrs. Redfish and I try pretty hard to make our guests happy. Our only regret was that we did not have more time to show you guys around our area, I always love the reaction from our out of state guests when we take them for a boat ride.

Our "Hurricane House" is nothing really special for this area, but the wood work is unique.

My 10 year old son is not really "typical", poor thing is crazy like his Daddy. He fell madly in love with the lovely Miss Hannah, for that I cannot blame him. Mrs. Redfish and I thoroughly enjoyed meeting you and hope to see you again some day. If not here then Out West. All three of you were wonderful, we hope you guys enjoy the rest of your trip.

Last minute preparations are complete, one more day of work then Meg and I are heading out Thursday morning.

If all goes as planned, we will be arriving around 5 on Thursday afternoon.
