I hit the 200k mark on the '05 in Arizona.Since I bought the bike in '09 with 8k already on the bike, I figure 208k will be my "Feel Good" mark.

The bike's name was "Baby Blue" - when I hit 100k it became "True Blue" and now with 200k….

"Royal Blue"
Congrats on the milestone, hope she keeps running sweet for you.

I hit 250k last night. Original motor, clutch, starter motor, and stator.
Still runs great. Had the compression tested a while back and cylinders 2,3,and 4 were at 140 while no. 1 was at 119.

Not bad for a 250k motor.
That is impressive!!

I rolled over 50K. Paltry in comparison. But 16K since I bought it in the Spring.

Nice to see bikes with 200K on them and know I still have many (s)miles ahead on my 2008. bought new in March of '08 with zero miles. Still enjoy this bike more all the time.

I rolled over 100,000 miles yesterday at the end of an SS1K for the first day of Fall. (My fourteenth SS1K on the first day of a new season, and ninth in a row. It's good to have hobbies.)

I fondly remember putting my PDP deposit down in early 2004, and then waiting for the call that it was ready for pick-up, which finally came in August. I had such a blast riding the 40 miles home from the dealer that I knew I would love this bike. The Galaxy Blue of the 2005 model year is still my favorite color.

I've toyed with the idea of a Gen III, but the current bike is still going strong, has had no mechanical issues at all, and is setup the way I like, so why change?

Turned 150K at EOM. She takes a licking and keeps on ticking (actually not a ticker). Photo is blurry, but you get the picture

I passed the 150,000 mark on my '05 on the way to NAFO.

A lot has happened since I was at the Rally in Marietta. I was on a record pace to hit a new mileage record for the year, my old record was 62,211 in 2012. My 2003 FJR1300, had 395,110 miles when I noticed shavings when I changed my oil the last time. So close to 400,000 miles, alas the repairs would make it too expensive, I decided to let Ole Grey rest, and I purchased a clone 2003 with 51,367 miles on it and start my new journey on my new bike. I had such good luck with Ole Grey, that I thought I'd stick with the same model and thus have parts from Ole Grey to use on my Clone. I had 50,943 on Ole Grey through 9/18/14. I had put 379,002 miles on Ole Grey since '06, and 200,000 in the last 4 years. A moment of silence for Ole Grey, Please. Thank you and ride safe.

Just thought it might be fitting to post this last photo of Ole Grey from the SEO Ramble. Congrats on 395,110 miles, and may the ghost of Ole Grey live on. I'm thinking Gray Ghost is good for a million.

Impossible to "like" this post enough. RIP Ole Grey, you were an amazing bike with an equally amazing owner.
