Damn, I am still only at 79K.

Was looking at some,of those 300K pictures. Mamma Yama should be using that in a promo.

I can't top Ole Grey (congratulations by the way), however, I have reached a certain milestone this past weekend...

Some of you may remember 4 1/2 years ago of the wreck of my Tangerine / DOT Lime Yellow painted '06 AE. It happened not far from where this picture was taken. Shortly after midnight on July 3rd, 2010 the driver of a Chevy Silverado pickup truck made a left turn across my lane. We were up on a levee - highway 160, just south of Walnut Grove California. He was a local driver, on his way home from work, no alcohol involved. I was traveling with my cruise set to 55mph and listening to the tunes on my iPad. He must have seen my twin headlights and thought it was a car still a ways away, plenty of time to make the turn off the levee onto Walker Landing Road safely. It happened so quick, I was just astonished at the turn of events. In the blink of an eye, the truck's headlights made the quick move toward my right, and the last thing I remembered was seeing the truck's grill work. The bike took out his right headlight, and messed up the whole right side of his truck. The force of the impact launched me over the handlebars with my legs flipped high overhead. My helmet breached his windshield putting what was described as a pumpkin sized hole just in front of the unoccupied passenger seat. The momentum of my body pulled the helmet back out of the glass as I was propelled over the truck. As best as I can reconstruct in my mind, my left arm must have hit the tail gate as I was coming to a landing on my back behind the truck. Needless to say the bike was destroyed by the impact.

I can count on both hands the times I had a passenger on this bike, however I never rode alone, My co-pilot always rides with me. That early morning he sure got my attention: He kept me from greater harm, He's been guiding me ever since.

Back to the above picture, what you see is two sets of instruments. The lower one is my current bike - 1 month older than the wrecked one. The upper one from the wrecked bike. I was able to power it up using my battery tender lead.

88744 miles

Lord willing, I intend to keep this bike for a while. Who knows, these being the Last Days spoken of in scripture, perhaps until He comes again to rule and reign.

We shall see.

Cool picture and nice write up Brodie. Keep on keeping on!

154000 km on my 06 bought at end of 2006 (96000 mi)..on it in arizona now. B y the time it gets ridden home it will have turned over 160k in km.( I have a 2nd 06 bought 2 mo ago at home with only 34000 km...backup bike.)

I crossed 60,000 on my recent tour in the Ozark Mountains. Sitting at around 61,500 now. Even though I knew (and know) better, when I got to 40K, I had a feeling of "OMG - I'm wearing my bike out!!!". Now the feeling is different. I want to get to 75K, and even 100K - looking at it like a rite of passage. When I meet motorcyclists that have bikes with 100K on them, regardless of anything else, in my book, they get an added level of respect in my book. These peeps are RIDERS, not bikers.

Of course, crossing this milestone will be bittersweet, though. If I ride my current '05 to 100K, that will mean it will be at least 2.5 more years of owning it (the '05), and NOT a BEAUTIFUL 2014 RED FJR. Pants pays cash for his toys and for the time being, things have to be the way they are.

It's a tough job really, but I suppose somebody's gotta do it!

Stay thirsty, my friends....

Then when you hit 100k, you will be looking at 200k then 300k ....

214 as of now for me as I have the 05 sharing duties with my 08. I plan to hit 250k and 40k respectively on the

two FJRs by years end.

Fingers crossed for the 05 as she is showing signs of her age.

Prob not a big deal but I kinda think it is cool. Just rolled over Five Fives about 5 miles away from Moonshine.

Since I bought the bike almost a year ago, it has been to the Atlantic Ocean in Florida, The Pacific in California, Maggie Valley, Wisconsin Spin, Arkansas, and a Bunch of other places.

Very fortunate to pick up such a great cycle. It has served me well and likely will continue to double or even triple the above number.

Hit the 10,000 mile club today on my '05.
Is this true? 10k miles on a 10 year old bike?

Anyway, I hit 20,000 on my 2014ES that is about 16 months old...and this year's riding season is just starting! I may hit 40k before the end of the year.

Congrats Craig on hitting the 100K milestone!

Looking at that bike on Saturday I was a bit surprised it had those miles on it. You obviously took great care with it.

Thanks again Craig for the ride along. Immensely enjoyable.

Cracked 50,000 this morning on my way to go play up in the San Gabriel mountains via CA39. Kinda satisfied it didn't happen on the way to work.
