La Poderosa Diabla took me on a 600 mile Adventure ride camping, falling, dropping and gleeful riding through mud, gravel, rock slides, overgrown "roads", tarmac, freeways and several national forests. ride report to come... it includes beers, elk, deer, bruises, electricall issues and more.
It was a blast.

I hate it when those damn "beers" and "electrical" animals jump out right in front of you!

Looking forward to the report. Where was it at?
Come On, Slacker! Chris is right, where is the fecking Ride Report at. The other shiftless Mick, Old Michael, would have already churned out his Ride Report by now. God knows your Papa Chuy is not getting any fecking younger here!
Unlike Old Michael, I fall down and ache, and I work for a living -- unlike that shiftless Mick. But another teaser -- a bear made me nearly shit in the woods. I went through Syskyou, Winnema, Rogue and other Wilderness and National Forest areas. Along with I-5!

Today is my busiest day of the week, so you'll need to pop a cold one and wait for me to edit all the piccies.

But here is a tease:

Napping again:

I'll post a ride report separately. Now go play with sumpin while I go to work. :p
Boy it looks like everything fell off! Your helmet, the bike and even your bag. :dribble: She really wanted to take a nap I guess. :D

The sad thing for me is that I'm at work and this is all I have to do! :p

At a baby, rushes!

Now to think about some training, We got some top notch dual sport riding area right between Texarkana and Alma. from Mena over to Clayton OK, it dont get better than that. K-trail, Wolfpen Gap, Winding Stairs, etc.....

You gonna be able to make time for some ride (actually some butt toughening sessions) training?

Scott

Welcome Rushes!!!! :yahoo:

The first two weeks of August I'm going to be in OKC for work. I could be convinced to take the DS instead of the FJR ;) Are any of you folks going to be around to show me what kind of DS riding you have there? :D

Great! I sure will!

I'll be out there myself 2 times this year, I hope. July 25th - July 30th doing the Colorado 600 from South Fork! Then the last week in August hanging around the Ouray area.

That ought to get me ready for Mexico!

Either one Chris, I can for sure make a 3 day weekend, during that time. Just remeber this........ ITS FREKING HOT that time of the year. It might be a tad bit cooler up in the Oklahoma Mtns, maybe! We'll go anyway, how hot can it get?

Outstanding, it will be a blast! :yahoo:

I finish my OKC class on 8/12 and could be ready to ride on Friday 8/13 and Saturday 8/14 and then head back to GA on Sunday 8/15. Would this possibly work for you & Rushes? I know it's early to commit, unfortunately with my schedule I usually have to plan this far ahead. Plus it means getting the KTM ready sooner. B)

I know its going to be real hot. :dribble: At least it will be another good way to get in shape!

I'll circle it in. My schedule is usually pretty flexible.

And it's the humidity that'll get ya... :skull:

OK, workin' on my list of shtuff ta do...

And it's longer than I thought. The bike is stock. Need to bulletproof this bitch.

Anyway...

The learnin' Spanish looks to be the toughest task ahead.

(I have a helluva time with English)

I've got 'cerveza, por favor' but what should be next?

About a zillion posts ago Shiney posted about a learn Spanish DVD. Could it really help an ADD adult?

I'm thinkin' I'll be OK unless I'm dumb enough ta try an follow fjrrider on some gawdawful donkey trail and get lost...

Advice?

I called Skip today, to make sure that we indeed have one more opening after rushes signed up and that is indeed the case. And I also found out some really good news: Two Montana buddies of mine are "penciled" in on this trip. Phil Hagland and Ken Hattan have ridden off road in Mexico with me before and they are long time Moto-Discovery Mexico Tour Veterans. They have not sent in their deposits yet, but they are good friends of Skip's, and they will be included. You FJR Forum Folks will really like these cowboys, they are both cattle ranchers with big spreads up in Montana. Real tough guys and the kind of compadres you want by your side down in Mexico. I sure hope that they can also make this CC Ride! Not a pair of California fruits and nuts; Real Men who can ride, trap and shoot!

Hi Phil, I was on the phone with Skip today and he told me you and Ken are penciled in for the Copper Canyon Expedition in November. Just wanted to let you know you two will be riding with two old friends: Brian and I'll be on this trek with you!

Also, there is 11 pages of conversation at www.fjrforum.com on the link above. Can't wait to get off road in Mexico again, this will be a blast! Mas Caminos y Mas Amigos!!!

Please notice my new address below!
