Just got off the phone with Skip and there will be a WR450F joining the group in November. :yahoo: You guys need to promise to wait for me though since I am just a stupido gringo who can't even speak english properly. I blame this on watching American TV from Buffalo during my formative years before Buffalo burned down.

When I used to watch the Buffalo 6 o'clock news it always started with, "Fire on the (insert side here) side. Film at eleven".

The only difference now is that with the new digital news gathering cameras we don't have to wait till eleven. I am kind of suprised there is anything left in Buffalo to burn.

Here's a pic of what I'm bringing to this little jaunt...

I'll leave the chainsaw at home since we are starting from Texas and I don't want to scare anyone that early in the ride.

Heck Man bring that little friend! We are going into Mexico, we may need it to get across the border or better yet back across the border into the US.

Now we gots us a chainsaw and a SPU, were armed and ready!

I'm still going to leave the chainsaw at home. Since I am not a US citizen I don't want Homeland Security thinking I'm somekind of terrorist (I do have that kind of wild eyed look to me) and send me off to some camp for a "chit-chat". I'll be on my best behaviour at the border and then wait till later to run amok.

Nice bike and a belated Welcome!!

Just watch out for Scott, the first thing he will tell you is that: "Don't worry this next section is easy :dribble: "

On a side note, I been eyeing a KTM 525 EXC  . I'm trying to figure out if I have the funds to buy it plus be able to get it ready before Mexico!!!

To Michael and Russ :p

:)

Skip Mascorro of Moto-Discovery sent me this photo today, just to whet our appetites for Copper Canyon. I rode with the gentlemen second from the left and the far right to Real de Catorce, Mexico last May. They are both KTM Adventure Riders. Hombres, it is just two months from now, your Papa Chuy can hardly wait for this Barrancas del Cobre Trek to begin!

Close to final payment time for the Copper Canyon trip. 2% discount for paying by check. Everybody paying up and getting excited? The instruction packet to get ready for the rtrip were going to be mailed out this week. Anybody got their packet yet?

Are we waiting for the instruction packet before paying or do I have this reverse? Either way I haven't heard or received anything from them yet.

Cool it will be nice to get an additional 2% off. :)

Chris,

I emailed Nancy Mascorro this week with the following questions (shortened version):

"Can I confirm two aspects of the final payment for the Nov. 7 Copper Canyon trip?... The website says payment is due 60 days prior to the trip, but your note to me [in a previous email] says 45 days prior to the trip. Is the 45 day schedule correct? ... Which brings me to the second question. A previous email says a 2% discount for payments by check.... [does that apply still to the remaiining balance?]. Thanks for clarifying these points for me so I get the correct payment to you."

September 3rd she responded:

"For this tour, we are okay with receiving final payment 45 days before tour date. If you need a little more time, please let me know. If you pay the balance by check, you can deduct 2%... We will be sending out the tour information packets early next week. This packet will have all the information needed to get you ready!"

I'm going to mail my payment Tuesday morning to make sure they get it.

Thanks a fecking lot, Old Michael! Now I just know I'll be getting a phone call muy pronto from ShinyPartsUp wanting to know what a "packet" is. Shiny's sex info phone calls are costing me a fortune!!!

Anybody got their packet yet?
Yeah, I got my friggin' packet.

Any more questions, Cindy.
So, when you are with your boyfriend Alice, who plays bitch?

Freakin' trolls and thread voyeurs give me a headache.

;)

Chris,

Beemerdons used to live in California. He lived "The lifestyle". He tells me with great pride all the gory details when I do talk to him.

Don is the voice of experience in matters of bizarre sexual antics. I hear he wrote the book and Old Michael wrote the Forward. But I haven't found it in any libraries -- must be for private collections only.

Didn't the censors take that off the shelves, due to a blatant violation of good taste?

Well I killed another week be-bopin around the San Juans in southwest Colorado. Good training for Mexico I'ma thinking!

Fantastic CO photos, fjrrider; Thank You! Your last picture shows the off road track I hate 2nd most: Loose Shale! My #1 hated off road surface is "baby heads" rocks like in AZ stream beds. Very tiring!!!
