I know that feeling... I just put it on plastic! You know, I wont feel it for 30 days! :D

Just curious,
Is there any info on rotor weight.

Stock vs. Galfer ?
I don't have the exact weight savings; there is some weight savings over stock, but not a massive amount, I am told....
When I installed these in 2003, I weighed the OEM (2003 model--ie 298mm disks) and the Galfers. There is a 1.6 lb savings for both rotors. Considering this is both rotating and unsuspended weight, that's significant, IMO.

Mine are ordered. Credit card took the hit.

Do the rotor bolts come with the new rotors? The ones that attach rotor to wheel.

Warchild's first pictures, at start of thread have gold bolts. Where can I buy them if not included?

Can't you just buy them from the vendor?

I'm all in. Thanks Warchild and all for putting this together. I asked the vendor about the complete SS line kit from Galfer (part # FK003D605C) for an '06 ABS and awaiting their reply.
Going all the way!
Did you get in before the deadline?
I didn't. Eclipse last week made me stupid or something. I had a handwritten note on my desk with the deadline date (instead of actually relying on the thread. ), but mistook the 5 for a 9. So I logged in yesterday and submitted my request for brake pads.

Very effective, huh?

Thanks for putting this group buy together Warchild.

I got my order in for just the lines and asked how long it would take to ship the order. The lady was pretty hesitant to say (so maybe I shouldn't post this. . .just take it with a grain of salt and wash it down with a cup of patience), but she ventured a guess of 12 to 16 business days, and my card has been charged. I did specify the black lines and extra length on the front lines though, which I took to mean that those things added time to my order that otherwise wouldn't have. . .that and the huge level of success for this group buy. I need the time to organize the garage anyhow, but I'll sure be happy to get the new lines installed & see what the difference is. :yahoo:

As it turned out, this was a rather huge group buy, so yeah, ya'll will have to exercise patience as Galfer gears up for it. I was figuring it would take most of March for them to fill all orders (lots of custom orders on this gig), so you should have your kits installed by April at the latest, just in time for some serious riding weather.

yamaholic: A savings of 1.6 pounds of rotating mass is indeed pretty significant; I am unsure if the 320mm rotors (which is all FJRs *save* for the 2003 model year) saves quite that much. Perhaps some intrepid soul who got the Wave rotors on this GB will weigh them and the 320mm OEM rotors so we'll know for sure.

Re: Rotor carrier bolts you saw on my Galfer Waves on page one of this thread: nice try, fellas, but the only way you're going to score a set of 10 gold-anodized Titanium rotor carrier bolts for your Wave rotors is to buy them yourself! Here ya go, have fun shopping: https://www.tastynuts.com

I was just informed by my roomate that the UPS man came yesterday, But he missed him to sign and recieve the package...

I can only guess it's the Galfer stuff! If so, That was INSANE fast delivery!

I will let cha know fer sure!

I am in Utah headed for Cali, So the anticipation is rather high on this! :hyper:

email received today that mine is on its way. I ordered 14 lbs of stuff.

Thanks for setting this up Warchild!

My Galfer rotors and SS lines arrived today from the Big Brown Truck!!! :clapping:

These are beautiful! :)

Thanks again Dale!!!

Dadgummit! Now I gotta go tidy up the garage. My brake & clutch lines are here. They even had the nerve to get the order perfectly right so I got nuttin to bitch about. . . except cleaning up the garage. Sumbitch.

(Thanks Dale) :yahoo:

I'll probably get a reply from vendor first, but, have any other '03 owners tried to install the Galfer pads yet?

I put my rotors on tonight, easy and look great!

I went to install the new pads and found the stock shims won't fit.

The stock pad has a cutout at the top (side that pin goes through) for the shim to clip on.

The new pads don't have the cutout.

My invoice says part# FD178/068 FJR1300 (all) ; package says FD068G1375.

Oh yeah, Thank You Warchild! Awesome buy on these parts.
