Letme checke my math!Currently 28k; projected another 10k = maybe 38k (that's xx,000 miles) on a CT....well now that's an economical sway in itself, especially for those on flat lands and few twisties down this way......Uh Oh, I done read too much of this thread..feeling a bit funny and having some wicked thoughts about CT on my FJR.
Have another cookie...

Just got back last week from Arkansas. The guys I rode with were ragging me about the CT the first night. After a ride through Talimena Drive the next morning, the guy in front of me said "well I guess the thoughts that the CT can't keep up are over".

Don't get me wrong, I'm a geezer and ride mid pack with these guys. No way could I keep up with the front 3-4 riders if they pushed it. BUT I couldn't with a motorcycle tire either-the CT doesn't change that a bit.

I have a Penske aftermarket shock on the back that raise the bike about 1/2" and the CT raises it another 1/2-1". Still drag the pegs occasionally.

This was my second trip to AR on the CT (as well as long one to the left coast last Fall). I rode 341, 123 (sweepers, a few switchbacks and a tight section) and 9 from Sylamor to Melbourne (my favorite road in the US) as well as many others. CT not an issue. One more trip to AR in June and then a new CT-Bridgestone this time I think.

I'm going to get about 20,000 out of the Yokohama because I don't feel the need for right wrist discipline any more. Last fall in Oregon, I ran through a front Avon in 3,000 miles-love that black chip seal out there.

One plus is when I get on my FZ (haven't mounted a CT on it yet), it feels like a track bike!

Sorry about the long post-getting verbose in my old age. Ian, Iowa

Saw at dark sider at the Slimey Crud Run. Didn't see the owner.....too many other bikes to look at, but did get a pic.

those are great tires and have all the same qualities mounted on my '03 Camry XLS

Geez, now you have me thinking...rode 33k miles in last 12 mo...3 tires at $150ea plus the cost of mounting/balancing plus the time and hassle to have it done

huuuuummmmmmmmmmmmmm...

and that Darth Vader motion clip art is da bomb...

I rode Brodie's bike and that tire does have an edge thingy going on...... MY tire does not. yes it is different then a BT. But definitely doable ......

When I am in the twisties testing...... I am just about doing a Stoppie and I can feel the anchor out back .... ABS kicked in, let off the front brake lite

back brake, .....into the turn I go..... steady throttle...... 51% into the turn, brake off and 90 to 100% throttle just past the apex.... hooks up better than

my PR2........... ........... Heart rate up!!........ setting up for next turn... :p :p :p :p :p :p :p :p :p :p

====== Get the picture......... :D ======

So Brian, are you getting used to the taste of drinking cat's blood? I would imagine it is an acquired taste, like developing a liking for gin. But, I would bet deflowering the sacrificial virgins is really fun!

Damn....THAT'S where I screwed up....I deflowered the cat and drank the virgin's blood!

Explains all the scratches around my groin.

But, I would bet deflowering the sacrificial virgins is really fun!
There are no sacrificial virgins used in Darksiding. Virgins are waaay over rated, (besides, it's difficult to find ugly 10 year olds and highly illegal to do much of anything with them). We prefer women of experience that have consented to the activities freely. We routinely accept trainees in their senior year at the Jenny McCarthy School of Chrome Removal for ceremonial participation.

I like the profile of that CT, the other ones just look too... square... for my tastes. I'll be watching to see what kind of mileage you get out of that tire vs some of the others.

Will this thread ever die?
Not as long as people keep posting that question to it. :dribble:

People continue to find, read, be intrigued by, ask questions about and change over to the darkside. It doesn't need to be your thing, but there is interest.
