Warranty Exclusions: Warranty does not apply to your product under any of the following conditions: 1. The serial number has been removed or modified. 2. Your product has been subjected to misuse or damage (including water damage, physical abuse, and/or improper installation). 3. Your product has been modified in any way. 4. Does X50 need to be out in plain view? Is there a way to conceal it, and can you turn it off fast? Will Escort ship to VA?  How many batteries does the H.A.R.D system require?
1. No. I've heard of guys hiding them behind the plastic fairing, but not sure how well they work or if it will still detect laser that way.

4. It requires two 2032 lithium coin cells for the receiver, available in bulk here.
Detecting Laser is just a way to tell you that you have just gotten a ticket. There is no time to react.

I talked again with Escort today, since we have over 10 players. I am waiting to see if there is anything else we can get included on this deal, based on the total number of participants. I may/may not hear from them before I leave town on Wednesday, but will pass on whatever news I get, when I get it.

Sweet! Put in a pitch for a night with Angelina Jolie in the deal, k? ;) :D

While Angelina Jolie looks smoking hot, would you want to share something that 'ol Billy Bob has been through? :puke:

I'm getting ready to install a voltmeter, but just read this thread about the X50. Is the voltmeter option on the X50 a separate piece of hardware the comes with it or is it a built-in measurement it can make. I couldn't find reference to it in the manual.

Sorry for being dense!

So the Passport X50 red L.E.D. could be shipped to your door for $269.98.
Is this buy for the red led's only?

my eyes cant' handle the red anymore, what about the blue led's?

Thanks

Mary

PS< Nuttin wrong with buying farkles before you get the bike, right? <G>

It's built in to the display of the radar detector.

How is $259.99 + $19.99 shipping cheaper than $269.98 shipped?
that link to Ebay was for the blue version, but if you simply do a search on the same vendor, you will see that his red units are CHEAPER than the group buy...just trying to help ya save a couple of bucks ;)

p.s. it would already be on the way to you also!
This is correct, but please read the whole thread. ;)

good point, I didnt realize that they wouldnt honor warranty from Ebay..strange, they are cutting off a LOT of potential customers...anyhoo, I got myself a radar detector about 2 weeks ago, but its still in the box, no time to install the damn thing..its a Whistler Cruisader...anyone have any experience with this unit?

Update: I am now quite sure that our GB will be supplied with a FREE direct wire cord. since I'm guessing most of them will end up being used in a M/C application. :D

Stipulation of this free accessory means that our GB will not include any discount on the extended warranty. The price for this will stay at $29.95. 10% Discount still apply on everything else they offer.

I couldn't find anything in my manual either. Anybody got a linky or some instructions?

Skyway: Does the extended warranty run after the initial one year, or concurrently?

It is for a total of 3 years. The extended warranty is for an additional 2 years beyond the standard 1 year supplied with the unit.

Well, I thought you guys were 'tards, so I checked my manual and its there, but its not real obvious, I'll give you that.

Page 13 of the manual: Overview of EZ-Programming

That first group of options - you want the Pilot V, as the manual says "Vehicle Voltage"

So follow the EZ-Programming instructions to get to the Pilot V, and the "Change" the setting so that this function is on.

Also, on page 14, in the upper right-hand corner, there is a paragraph that describes the "Pilot V" setting and what is displayed and how it works.

If you still can't figure it out, let me know. I will take you by the hand and lead you through it like the little girl that you are. :p Of course, if that is necessary, it will cost you some you-know-what from Eve headed my way. ;)
