Mary

PS< Nuttin wrong with buying farkles before you get the bike, right? <G>
No this is available to any of their products and accessories.
Thanks...

I'll let you know in about a week, if that's ok...

Mary

I'm getting ready to install a voltmeter, but just read this thread about the X50. Is the voltmeter option on the X50 a separate piece of hardware the comes with it or is it a built-in measurement it can make. I couldn't find reference to it in the manual.
Sorry for being dense!
I couldn't find anything in my manual either. Anybody got a linky or some instructions?

Skyway: Does the extended warranty run after the initial one year, or concurrently?
Well, I thought you guys were 'tards, so I checked my manual and its there, but its not real obvious, I'll give you that.

Page 13 of the manual: Overview of EZ-Programming

That first group of options - you want the Pilot V, as the manual says "Vehicle Voltage"

So follow the EZ-Programming instructions to get to the Pilot V, and the "Change" the setting so that this function is on.

Also, on page 14, in the upper right-hand corner, there is a paragraph that describes the "Pilot V" setting and what is displayed and how it works.

If you still can't figure it out, let me know. I will take you by the hand and lead you through it like the little girl that you are. :p Of course, if that is necessary, it will cost you some you-know-what from Eve headed my way. ;)
Thanks Mr scooter! B)

Well, I'll be damned, it's there as plain as day. Thanks a bunch! I looked over the manual twice, then checked the pdf doc that Skyway linked. Eve says thank you and

Group Buy: ACT NOW! or when you have a moment.

Here's how it's going to shake down. Escort will not allow individual purchases in order to get the 10% discount and free hard wire kit accessory. So here's what everyone needs to do including me.

You need to call Escort direct at 800-433-3487 ex. 8532 and speak to Jack. He will be our point of contact for this GB. Tell him exactly what you want, he will give the total, then mail me a check for the amount including a description of what you want. I will be placing the entire order for everyone as soon as I get back into town (around March 8th) so this gives everyone time to contact Escort and snail mail me a check.

All individual orders will be shipped directly from Escort, all of your order information will be retained by Escort, under a sales number that escort will provide to me at the time of the order. I will obviously pass this on when I get it. This is more work for me than I really wanted, but hey it helps everyone's pocket including mine, so I'm prepared to do a little ground work here.

Jack is available Mon-Wed and Fri afternoon eastern during their business hours.

Just mention you are part of the Group Buy and my name Ian Laing

Mail me a check of the final balance given to you by Escort to:

Skyway (Escort Group Buy)

16928 B Crestview Drive

Sonora, CA 95370

This is open to anyone who wants in, not just the voices who have already spoken up.

I will not be in an area where I can check the board, so you guys hopefully can figure this out by yourselves.

No whiny BS while I'm gone, PLEASE! This is pretty straight forward stuff here. :D

Let me whine first...  Is the check made out to you or Escort? :dntknw:
Good whine. :D You want some cheese with that?

Make out your check to me, then I will go to my bank and have them make out one check that will go to Escort.

You?! You bonded and insured? :p ;)
Who cares? We know where he lives. We'll just pillage the place if he tries to burn us. I haven't done any good pillaging in a very long time.

Ian, thanks very much for the legwork it is greatly appreciated. I called Jack a few minutes ago but he has left for the day already. A check will be in the mail as soon as I get a total.....Thanks again.

Hmmmm... I'm thinking that I'm going to have farkle fights for space up on the IP.

Lessee, I've got the GPS on the stem stand, SatRad on the bar stand all of their attendant wires now I'm adding a detector? Where the heck am I going to put it? What are youz guyz doing for placement? Maybe I'll have to have Carla build me a stand like hers...

Mine is on top of the brake reservoir with Velcro Extreme (procured at a local crafts store).

I'm putting mine on top of the right side reservoir ala toecutter. I figure this always puts the radar detector central to the highway. Not sure if this matters though? That and the display is angled perfect for this mounting location.

Well, the SatRad covers the clutch res and the SatRad antennae covers the brake res...

Carla? Weld me up a stand, please!

Put the sat rad antenna on top of the Escort?

I have plenty of room... Maybe I need more farkles?

Put the sat rad antenna on top of the Escort?
I'm thinking the best thing to do is move the antenna to the front fairing beneath the wind screen... Yeah, that's the ticket! Thanks!
