Hey Tim,

I will try to be there next Wednesday. Hope to see as many FJRs there as well.

Have you seen the other thread and are you planning on doing the ride to the Hill Country on April 14 and 15?

Me and the Enterprise will be there, assuming I finish my Spiegler line install by next Tuesday! Should get it done in the next day or two, but you never know.... ;) I think I've got the front lines just about done (minus a bracket here or there) and now need to move on to the rear lines...

Mike, what kind of backrest? I have the Garauld bolt on backrest for the rear rack. Haven't had a chance to try it out with my better half yet. I'll have the Smuggler trunk on though.

Scott, where's thread about April 14-15 in the Hill Country? I might be able to go that weekend. If so, I'll try to get in at the YO Resort; they aren't much more than all the other motels in the area.

Twilk - it's the "North meets South FJR" thread. They couldn't seem to agree on anything so we used it for April 14th.

The Econo Lodge is cheaper than the YO and they have a breakfast.

YO is just across street south of Econo Lodge.

Daniel - I found the thread on how much fork oil I need for each side - about 700cc.

Mike,

Make sure you get some fluid to flush them with a time or two as well...

Hey, I might be able to swing the tax day Hill Country thing.....we can talk about it in Angleton.

Yes, we can make some plans about the ride from here to Kerrville (Friday the 14th) during Hamburger Wednesday next week.

In addition, I may not be able to make it afterall.

All I have to do is convince my family that we need to spend Easter weekend in Lakeway with the wife's sister's family and maybe I can ride up there to Kerrville Friday with you guys and then come back to Lakeway to mingle on Saturday evening and Sunday with them.

Keeping my fingers and toes crossed..... :D

Well, the Enterprise is back cruising amongst the stars, after having new Dilithium crystals inserted... and some kick butt anti-warp drive brakes retrofitted on the nacells.

If it's not pouring down rain, I'll most likely be at Hamwed... although there is a mission this week at church, and I'll have to miss the Wednesday session.

With an 80% chance of rain tomorrow, I'm going to check the weather tonight before making a decision to head to Angleton. Nothing like a soggy hamburger......

Daniel, I suppose you are working on a transporter beam system to get you to WFO-5? Beam me up Scotty...........

I'm still planning for the April 14-16 Hill country ride, and will try to find an empty room at or near the Econolodge or at the YO. Last time I was at the motel next door to the YO (Travelodge??) and ate at the YO resort dining room, I asked about prices there, and they weren't much more than I was paying next door. Availability is the problem this time of year.

Tom,

I'm with you... I'll play it by ear tomorrow... nothing like eating a hamburger outside in the pouring rain.

The trip to WFO (now NFO I believe) is in planning stages. Looks like a tad over 2K miles one way... Should get some beautiful riding through New Mexico, Colorado, Utah, and Nevada just to get there...
