How about tomorrow night? HamWednesday. FJRSTAR says he will be there, FJRMGM maybe too. I can do it. Any other takers? I'm buying dinner for all FJR riders. If the weather is to be believed it will be warm and partly sunny. Deal?

+1 on the ride in this morning; it wasn't 90F and all the cars missed me by at least 3 feet. See you all tonight. I'm going to try to be there no later than 6:00 if I can get off a bit early.

Good to see all you guys again after so long.

you guys who left early missed the best part!!

Around 8:30 about six Harley riders were sitting right out front revving the crap out of their engines making quite a racket and getting ready to leave.

This big guy on a Yamaha from the back of the parking lot came up beside them on their left revving the crap out of his bike and hit the front brake on that rough loose gravel just as you are exit the parking lot and DUMPED HIS BIKE ON THE RIGHT SIDE!! He got it back up and revved the crop out of it while the HD guys laughed. He had on no gear.

Good thing the HD guys had their loud pipes cause I believe it saved his life!!

And here I thought that six foot flames from the HD straight pipe would be the high point of the evening! Silly me!

Yes it was good to see all you guys again. More FJRs showed up than I had thought would.

He probably had been drinking and felt braver and was stupid for it!

Hope to see you guys next month as well. Hope to do some more riding than I have been.

I'll catch up with you all in May, as I'm off to SFO in Arkansas so will be prepping the last Wed nite this month.

Hamburger Wednesday is coming up again. Who will be there?
I guess depending on the weather around here, Hamburger Wednesday will not have many bikes. Last month had quite a few.

Today and tomorrow's forecast is rainy.

It's Wednesday - see you at HAMWED!!
I'm a newbie to the FJR forum here in Alief, TX. COuld you clue me in on when and where HamWednesday happens. Only problem is that I would have to ride my V-Max as FJR is kept up at lake Livingston.

Thanks in advance for any replies.

It's the last Wednesday of the month (i.e. yesterday), and gets started around 6:30ish and runs till whenever people stop showing up. Location is the Ice House in Angleton on Business 288 (N. Velasco St.). Really good burgers, and usually a lot of bikes. Last night was a bit smaller crowd... not sure why other than the potential to get a bit of rain... EEEK!. We've had as many as 10 FJRs there in the past... last night was mine and one other.

My folks have a house on the Lake up on the west side near Cold Spring... what roads do you like to ride up in that area? I may be up there next weekend.

Is anyone still meeting for HamWednesday? I was thinking about coming by next Wednesday to check it out.

Hey Groo, my folks have a place outside of Coldspring as well, and there are several decent roads around that area, but there is a ton of road construction going on lately. They just finished up FM224, which is a very short, but fun road. There are several others very similar, but I can't remember their names. I will need to go out and re-run them again soon.

Bill
