Heading toward Texas, let's ride Ark/Mo first.

After a great ride down, John and I are in a campground around Bull Shoals lake. It is cold but we shall survive. John picked some good roads down here. Some of them are the same as the Hooterville roads.

I will check in here some but most of the info will come in a report after I get back.

Today was good.

Had a blast riding with you. That 123 road was epic!

It was a cold, gray, windy ride home but SWMBO is thrilled I made dinner so future rides should come easier.

Have fun. Ride safe. Say hi to the LA crew for me.

Glad u are home warm and safe. Was a great weekend. 123 was spectacular as you said. I understand about the obeying the wifey

I don't! Establish yourself as the Dominant Male. Make sure she understands that YOU are the Alpha Male, that YOU are in charge and your relationship is a privilege that she is lucky to have. Be sure she understands that she must work to retain her status in your life.

I would explain further but I am tired from boiling crawfish for her family today and I have to go clean the kitchen and get her lunch fixed for tomorrow.

So Cav where are you now and where are you heading? Did you ride 123 all the way down near I-40? I bet it was a little chilly

last night.

Redfish,

You are either kidding, writing anonymous, or on the way to divorce court. I obviously am the Alpha male since I am out on a week long trip!! Haha. I am so lucky to have the type of girl that will let me go out on such a great ride.

Petey, I am in Grove Oklahoma right now. We rode it south yesterday and then again North today. I did a piss poor job of navigating yesterday and got us lost a few times. But John is a solider and navigated from the back when I screwed up. But I should have bought a GPS to replace my broken one. It was chilly but we had grilled steak.

I am heading toward Sherman TX tomorrow. Looking for some good roads on the way down.

123 was amazing. It is my new favorite road. Better than Push Mountain by just a little bit.

I like 123 better than Push Mtn. as well, mainly because there is more of it - perhaps 50 miles total from Harrison down to near Clarksville, and also because it interconnects well to many other roads. You can use 123 to connect dots easily. P/M road is only about 15 miles IIRC, and there really isn't much else to ride around there, considering how nice the riding is just west of there. Hwy 27 from P/M road heading south is pretty good, though.

Have a good time in Texas.

I wish I wasn't 3-1/2 hrs west of you. I know some nice twisties just SW of Grove. Are you planning on getting to Sherman today?

Give me a call if you read see this in time...4056120437

I told my wife that I am the alpha and she agreed....but only until dinner. Then I have dishes to do.

Awesome change of plans. My high scho buddy in Houston has a interview in Austin so guess who is going to COTA tomorrow ..............<<<<<<<<<<. This freaking guy!!!!

Gonna watch the races and testing stuff.

Still gonna be at his house in Houston that night, so no change of plans!! Pictures to follow.

Made it to Lousiana. Had a personal escort from the state line to Pants' house by Redfish and his dad. These people here are the reason the phrase "Southern Hospitality" is coined. Never will you find better people. 'Nuff Said.........for now

Ain't that the truth.

Looks like you get to update your states visited map when you get home.

This forum is a strange thing. Before I joined this place I would never have considered riding over 200 miles with a 100% chance of thunderstorms to meet "some guy off the internet" and then ride another 150 miles to go have supper with some other motorcycle folks.

I think my life is better for it.

You also wouldn't have ridden 500 miles, grabbed BBQ and turned around and gone home either. But all our lives are better in the end.

We had a nice ride today. Josh is taking pretty well to cajun living. He's gaining weight as I type this.
This ain't Cali with it's fru fru healthy food. This is the south my friend, and you WILL enjoy it and you WILL need need to open the velcro waist tabs on your riding suit to get home.

The top ten list of Cav's favorite foods are expanding nearly as fast and my belly. But Char-broiled oysters are unreal awesome. I have been spoiled down here by the peeps.
