I saw a helmet yesterday with a light on the back. You could also upgrade to Bluetooth it to activate brighter in sync with the brake lights. Thought it was pretty cool myself.

I bought a scorpion 920 last year and love it. I bought my daughter the same one after trying it out for about 10k miles. Ive had about all the major brands and the scorpion is great. It runs really small though. Modular is the way to go.

I'm looking for a new helmet as well for myself and my wife. the new Bell Qualifier DLX MIPS Solid helmet seems to have a lot of features that are usually on much more expensive model helmets.

It also comes with the transitions adaptive shield at no extra charge, The multi directional impact protection system apparently is a new feature that's important. Otherwise I have to agree go with the best you can afford that fits you.
