I may be interested in your power commander but am trying to figure out if it will work. You say that it's SKU 409-411 which according to the Powercommander website will fit 2003-2005. The website says that the PC3 SKU for 2005-2008 is 419-411. I was curious since your FJR is a 2007, are you sure on the SKU number?

Hey Oregonian - Thanks for your interest.

First, yes I know its a little weird but I have a cross referenced unit. Mine has a sticker on it saying "419-410 for 419-411."

Second, yes it was on a 2007. The PC site says 419-411 fits 2006-2008. And just as you say, for 2003 on it is 409-411.

Let me call customer service on Monday and validate application.

I think it will only fit 06- The 419-411 has been replaced anyway.

Definitely 409-411 for 03-05

Matt101 - I'm still gonna call PC Customer Support on Monday - but do you think the connector changed in 2006?

The boxes all look alike, and I suspect the firmware is basically the same.

The only thing I can figure is that the connector may have change.

I think the connectors did change. I admit they do look the same on the yamaha service manuals. Off to check part numbers!

Thanks again Matt101. I don't have the service manuals to refer to, but I check the parts fiche on BikeBandit.com and couldn't find the connectors individuality listed. I think they ought to be on Electrical 1, but don't see them listed for the 2004 or 2007 (your bike or mine).

Will be talking with PC Customer Service on Monday...maybe they can put the two connectors side by side and report back.

Thanks to Oregonian, Matt101 and LeeDavis...and a call into Power Commander tech support today...

The 409-411 for earlier bikes (pre-2006) had a different polarity than 2006-2008, which is why the 419-411 was created.

So just to be clear - I have for sale a PC III USB 419-411 which fits ONLY 2006-2008 FJRs.

Sorry for the confusion...my price is still $200, $190, now only $180 shipping included to the lower 48 states - PayPay "Gift" transaction preferred...

Sorry for piping up, but I think the PC3 should be ok for all Gen 2's, up to 2012.

You may be right Queensland Ken, but on Power Commander's website PC III USB 419-411 is only listed as applicable to

2006-2008.
