I wish i could go with yall, But i just cant swing two weekends so close together.

We will be in Jasper for lunch before the H-D crowd get there bikes off there trailers!!!   Smitty

I have seen a number of Harley/Cruiser guys in Kansas City today and it appears they are rally bound. The Bikes, Blues, and Barbecue is expected to have 250,000 in attendance. Some friends of mine are going down and are leaving Thursday.

I'm leaving for Hooterville. Should be there about 5 pm give or take 1/2 an hour.

Mark, sent you a PM

Just loaded rides alone up with steak and beer, and he is ready to hit the sack. Meeting up with another rider in the morning and heading south. I will ride part way and return home. Looks like great weather for you guys. Take care.

Made it back at 9:30pm. Much better trip back home than last year's! The route the GPS gave me put me on 4 lane divided within ten minutes after I left the group. Easy sailin' home.

Hope you guys enjoy the rest of the trip.

Rides Alone, it was great meeting you and ridin' down with you from Steelville. Hope us crazy speed demons don't scare ya away and you make it back for another one!

The Hooterville 500 anyone? Smitty, any dates in mind?

Well I just made it home. Over 1000 smile weekend, what could be better. There was 12 guys at this ride, and I really enjoyed putting it together. A few where out on there own on Saturday, but we all had lunch together at the Cliff House on Hwy 7 near Jasper. Everyone stayed on 2 wheels all weekend. I did have a near miss ( I could have cleaned its ear with a Q-tip..) with a 400 lbs bambi. The guys behind me said it was a small doe, as close as I was it looked 400 lbs. The weather was great (no rain), and the roads where better. I had a few meals with a great bunch of guy, it doesn't get any better. We also had a bon-fire on Saturday night from the fine folks at the Anglers resort.

Thanks everyone for coming to the ride, Smitty

Yes, what a great week end. Met some new guys and able to put faces to the Forum handle, it was great to meet and ride with all of you. Got home about 3pm... and boy did I see the harly boys heading home from the Fayettevillle "Hog" rally. I must have seen/passed 500 of them.

Guys,

I had a great time this weekend. Perfect weather, fantastic roads, and good company.

Smitty, Drew caught up with me at Cowboy Deans just before I was ready to leave. He had some of their bbq, then we had *** with the waitresses before riding back thru Bixby and on up to St. Clair where we parted ways. Thanks for setting this ride up. It was truly a great time.

For those of you interested in the local HSTA rides in the St. Louis area, here is the link to their site. You will need to register with Yahoo, then contact a moderator. Tell them you know Smitty or me and they will help you get you signed up.

Just pulled in about a half-an-hour ago. Had a great time...hope everyone else did too.

I enjoyed meeting some new faces and getting to see some familar faces that I met in May. Good to see Smitty, Petey, Steve, Skinny Dave, Chester, et al. It was good to see Dennis from CFO and to meet Drew, Mike (mehaffy) and friend, and Dan from Iowa, and John Calhoun. If I missed anyone-someone tell me. It doesn't seem to take long to make friends in this FJR family...We also saw our Buell buddie from the May event.

Had a blast and slowly learned to ride those curvy roads you got down there.

Thanks for organizing everything Smitty...good to see everyone. :) :) :)

Now time to get some eats and kick back after a long day - but great weekend. 500 thursday, 250 friday, 350 saturday, and 600 today. No bambi sightings today...just a little fog for the first few miles after I left the Angler

I will download photos from the camera and try and post one or two of them tonight before I turn in. The rest later as I get a chance.

SMITTY FOR PRESIDENT! (Of what I don't know)

Just got back home. Ran over to Hardy, AR from Mountain Home and met some buddies from back when I was in the military and had lunch. Did not see many Harleys and didn't get to look at them for very long as they struggled along and I went past.

Ran into a guy who had been at the Bike, Blues, and BBQ and said it was very crowded. A cop told him they estimated 350,000 people.

As for our ride, outstanding. Great to see old, meet new guys. All I need now is to put lo-jack on some of the guys bikes so that I can keep track of them when they take off. Dale and Mike, thanks for sharing the morning ride and Dennis and Dan thanks for sharing the afternoon ride.

... of the Midwest FJR Riders Arkansas Road Eaters Club. What a great ride planner and leader, as well as a top notch mechanic and sometimes funny (re:dry humor) guy!

Great to see everyone and make a few new friends. Sorry I missed out on the bonfire Sat. night. Believe me that would've been more fun, as it got a little chilly on the way home after dark.

Wheaton, can't wait to see the pics. Anyone get a shot of that hunk of rubber Smitty musta left behind on that last wheelie? No wonder those skins are bald!!!

Now, lets be careful with all the praise on the Arkansas roads there men. We wouldn't want everyone else to find out about our little secret ... like P@#h Mountain, i.e., if that ain't motorcycle heaven, I don't know what is.

Smitty, thanks again. I hope you let me keep coming back for these rides because , of course, I aspire to someday be able to ride like you, Dogger Dave and Petey! :yahoo:

Later ... 'Til we ride again! ;)

Now for a few pictures to hold you over...
